It's mind boggling how much thought and effort has gone into this build. As always, I'm mucho impressed
Pics with the rear 1/4's off and lack of rust I found interesting, but then I would wouldn't I
Keep chomping away at it mate

Cheers Pete. The amount of time I spend faffing around getting things how I like them is one reason why this build is taking so bloody long. I hope it will be worth it though. Your new s13 project makes mine look like a mess, your attention to detail is on another level.
I thought it was about time I put a bit of effort into cleaning stuff up and getting things painted. So I cleaned up the gear box last night.
Looked like this to start with.
I sprayed it with frost's aluminum cleaner and left it a while.
I then scrubbed, rinsed and degreased it with bilt hambers surfix cleaner and it ended up looking like this.
Doesn't look a massive difference in the pics but its a lot better than before I did it. Just need to get some more paint and then I'll spray it.
What no updates, I'm missing the updates on this great build project
C'mon buddie get your finger out!

Been so so busy with lots of stuff happening out side of work. Hopefully in the next few weeks things should settle down a bit and allow me to plough into this again. I have a small update to post up but it's getting round to it. I'll try and update later tonight.
🏾🏾 just making sure you still committed. i have a project drift car now and already crying over the work ahead due to the prices of r154 gearbox for the 1jz already. Looking forward to ur updates.

I used AluBright deoxidiser on a very dirty plenum and it brought it up brilliantly after just 5 minutes and a small amount of scrubbing. Does need to be dried off completely straight after washing it off though otherwise it will oxide again after a few hours
Think might be the stuff I used on my engine actually.
Ok here is the small(and it is small) update I have.
I've made and welded in the cage cross brace at the base of the main hoop.
That makes the cage 99.8% complete.
I made the fixings for the new heater unit. I've decided to put it roughly in a central position behind the dash. The main reason to position it there is because the pipes for the heater matrix line up best with the holes in the bulk head for the original heater pipes.
Finally started on the drivers side rear arch too. I have been putting doing off tbh. Once that is done then that it most of the fabrication work on the shell done, other than the front end but I can't do that whilst the shell is on the rotisserie.
Nice one!! Can't imagine how much you might be wishing to get this done mate. I can't wait and I'm only been following for a year! great job.

Still along way to go but gradually getting closer.
Haven't had the chance to do anything on the car for a while now as trying to weld another members car and doing sills. I miss not working on it tbh. I cant even do anything in the evenings at home because Im having some work done on my house and the bloody builders have taken over my garage. I keep looking at the wiring and doing little wiring diagrams to try and get my head round it all but other than that no progress.
Hopefully Ill get chance to get back on it soon.
Sorry lol
O yeah you used to work on it when you started mine so we can blame jeffery!
I still am working on it.
love it mate, are there any Pics saved elsewhere? I cant see half of the ones in the thread for some reason!
Any chance you can do mine?? PM me a price
