Take the lower arms and hubs off, support it on the old dust shield and twat the hell out of the bolts with a big hammer. It's literally 5 bolts to get the whole lot off, you can't get a decent swing at them when you are scrunched up in the wheel arch.

Did the other one today. I got the blow torch on it and it made light work of it Start to finish including a new tie rod end took less than 2 hours.

Moral of the story is you need the right tools Get your self a blow torch asap

    Finally!!!

I feel like Im getting somewhere

The pasenger side is now done
    The drivers side however, isn't
I bought some 3-in-1 penetrating release stuff which worked a treat on the passenger side. Left it on for about an hour and with little effort the hub popped off Went to try the drivers side and it wont budge

So it got another good soaking while I rebuilt the other side, by the time I'd finished, it was getting dark and I had no electricities at the time due to maintenance

Fingers crossed for tomorrow, feeling a little more positive now at least

Oh, and thanks very much for the offers of help
I am a stubborn sod though and hate to be defeated, but thanks anyway

If you can find a couple of bolts and nuts you can rest the heads against the backplate and tighten the nuts against the back of the hub, you may need some washers too. Once you have put it under tension smack the hell out of it then tighten the nuts a bit more as they will be loose, repeat a couple of times and the hub will be off.

It worked a treat for Fry at JAE this year on Deathstar's S13.

Its only taken me an hour but its off!!!!

After popping the bearing no more than five times, severe twatting with big hammer, lots of swearing and a sore finger finally it decided to pop off.

Now got the joys of brake cables to look forward too
