    CA18DET engined Ford Capri

    Hi guys, don't know if any of you remember me but I used to own this s13;

    Sold it in August 2008 to fund my Capri restoration, got the Capri on the road eventually about 4 months ago and grew bored of the engine!!

    Here are a few quick photos of the build (coz its a 200sx forum )

    Got fed up of the pinto and missed my SX so now this is happening;

    this is basically a 'Hi again' thread and a hope that I'll be able to get some help with the conversion from som ca18det experts out there!! Im at the stage of wiring it in and feeding the looms around the bay. Also fitted a FMIC and am starting to plumb in the intercooler and turbo pipes/rad pipes.

    Hope you lot don't mind the Capri related content!

    The CA18DET has a chipped and remapped ECU to stage one, a 255 lph fuel pump, no power steering or aircon pulleys, cold plugs, straight through decat exhaust and cone filter, oh and a forge dump valve and screamre pipe. Thanks for reading guys

    Love it.. Absolutely love it..

    That is a fantastic project.

    Thought of an SR20/RB25 engine'd Manta for my next motor, so will be interested to see how this goes.

    Class cheers guys, wasn't sure how it'd go down round these parts! Just been out to Halfruads to get some vacuum hose and they don't do any, useless place! Now scouring the web for bits to finish it off I want it running in a few weeks

    Yeah, with the sides cut down to fit the rear wheels! Just got in from modifying my interooler pipework, it pretty much all lines up now in terms of the intercooler and turbo. I have to get some rad pipes and sort some sort of header tank, finish wiring it all up and sort my exhaust out. Im just going to run a straight pipe to my ashley cherry bomb for now and see how that sounds, should sound good! I also have to run some fuel hose back to the tank for the return pipe. I'm looking forward to starting it up!

    Can't decide if i love or hate the stickered windows
    But what a stunning car! is she solid underneath?

    You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

    And if you can't fix it with a hammer,you've got an electrical problem!

    Looks cool with those wheels, but I feel a V8 suits the overall image better.

    Anyway, if you want any help with getting that engine running let me know, I've done a few conversions now
