Fitting a apex turbo elbow (Major Issue)

Someone help!! Ive been pulling my hair out!!

Does the elbow have 3 studs on the bottom or just two studs (the one nearest the gearbox and middle one (5mm which was included with the elbow))

Now, the problem is the right hand side bolt at the bottom (chassis side).
It didnt have a stud there when i removed the standard elbow and ive tried to fit a bolt and there is no way to get a bolt through the flange on the elbow, cause it just fowls on the elbow..... if you get what im saying LOL!!

Shall i just aqquire a stud and shorten? Cause im sure a standard size stud would fowl on the elbow, therefor not allowing me to put a phillidas nut on!!

    Opinions?

    Cheers!!

You might need to swap the stud round and probably shorten it and more than likely you will need to hit the elbow with a large hammer then you will just about get a nut on. Good luck.

So i do need three studs on the bottom? The 5mm shortened stud in the middle and then a standard stud on the left and another shortened stud on the right? lol

Yup... you'll need to shorten one of the studs, i had the same problem but i had the luxury of having the engine out on the ground!

if I remember correctly the standard stud is okay but you have to just get the elbow on so that the stud is just through then thread a nut on and use it to pull the elbow tight to the turbo.
