welding?
That will be my guess also, oh and quite possibly the massive stone chip on the passenger side of the windscreen

Passenger side of the windscreen shouldn't be a fail
How do you rate the rim wax in the end? Actually any different from normal polish?
This is what i'm hoping
I've never used polish/wax on my wheels before. The rim wax did seem to make them a little bit more shiney. Can't say how well it lasts or helps with brake dust though as the wheels haven't been on the car since they were cleaned.

I hope not

Im guessing chassis, brake lines and headlamps

Come on then, scan in the big red bits of paper for us to marvel at
I'll grab them in a min
For those that don't know already it failed on:
1. A small hole in the chassis rail (by the joint between the two sections next to the holes from the factory )
2. Headlights ignite when the sidelights are turned on (due to fitting hids over 2 years ago, and passing twice already like this )
3. Rear nearside breakline is corroded (can't argue with this one really )
A couple pics of my massive rust issue
Id be interested to see what other mot testers think of this where's chris when you need him
Edit: Looks a lot worse in the pic btw

Use foglight feed for headlights for a quick and easy fix, and unplug the fog lights
I'm thinking of just wireing the headlights back in to the oem headlights wireing as it's still all there. Should only take ten mins or so
They suggested a switch to get it through the mot. the boss seemed a little embarrassed when I pointed out that he passed it last year

Pic of the fail sheet, couldn't be arsed to scan it and blank out all the details

I also have an advisory for my stone chip

Rear brake line: rub up carefully with a bit of light wire or wet and dry to see how corroded it 'really' is. Then if it isn't awful, paint over with thick black stuff ofcourse, if it's genuinely bad then replace it for safety reasons. Mine was white with corrosion, but cleaned up with gentle persuasion, then went straight back through the MOT
