My constant work in progress 14a with added jdm'ness!!!

Not posted in here in forever. Stuck at home so may as well update this with some recent pictures.

Found the biggest handling problem with the car was a collapsed front wheel bearing. Not surprised the car felt bad and unpredictable with the amount of play it had

While on the hunt for better handling I decided to sell the mxr’s and go for a more conservative fitment with less stretch.

Opted for rota grids in 9.5x18 et20. Always loved the style and can’t afford te’s so this will have to do

First test fit, hard to tell how they will look but the colour looks good at least.

Wasn’t sure on what way to go with the tyres, tempted by track tyres for the extra grip but ended up settling for Goodyear eagle f1’s asymmetric 5. Liked these tyres in the past so worth another go.
Fronts are 235/40/18 and rears are 255/35/18. Still a little stretch on the front but nothing like before. May go for a 245 front next time.

    First proper fit

Over the moon with how they look and the car now drives how it should again.

With the car driving as it should again I felt it was actually worth taking it out again and with jdmcombe being back it was the obvious destination.

    Cracking pic from jim22

Was an awesome day, pleased to be back at a show after the last few years as well.

The standard of cars on display were a real credit to the club and this showed with the club winning best overall stand at the show. Look forward to next year now

Thanks mate, I’m really happy with how they look and how the car now drives to be honest. Shame it’s off the road for winter now

Thanks mate, wouldn’t say it’s that informative as I’ve waffled on a lot over the years. Glad I stuck with it as the cars the best it’s ever been currently.

Had the car out and about a bit more this year after fixing the vvt sprocket. Was an absolute joy to drive and have found the love for the car again….

Sadly my bank balance didn’t agree so I’ve now had to sorn the car again. I did manage to take the car back out and go for a decent drive and take some pictures before it came off the road

Boo! This beauty needs to be enjoyed! Find some money down the sofa or cut back somewhere else/sell a kidney.
