Finally managed to unload it from my Landy (don't ask)
As mark pointed out the block could of been prettier so I decided to paint it using silver Ali engine paint.
Think it tidies it up a bit

Tiny amount of progress, if I’m honest I’m really not enjoying this bit as never had the inlet etc off before and it’s way more complex than the hot side.
I have however treated the car to some new apex coilovers

You have over 5 months lol youre alot further on than me and llandow is my deadline ���� that includes run in amd mapping pfft

Small update. When I went to refit the turbo I noticed the turbo elbow was loose, when I went to tighten the bolts the first one snapped with no effort. To save making it worse we sent it out to get drilled and helicoiled. I got the turbo and fitted it straight away. Hopefully the new studs for the elbow will arrive tomorrow and I can fit that again.
Looks like an engine again
All being well I’ll get the engine back in the bay this weekend although the gearbox will have to go on at a later date as I’m still waiting on the flywheel bolts to arrive

Also decided to try and tidy the bay a little. Wanted to get it professionally painted but the budget didn’t stretch to it
Touched up some areas with satin black after degreasing the bay.
