Yup. Fingers crossed as I don't want to be forking out for another unit if I can even find one.

last weekend was the final drag event of the year at Dakota raceway so went along even though it was wet.
I was really struggling to get off the line as the surface was pretty greasy and only managed a best time if 14.4 seconds. I made some changes half way through hoping to soften the rear dampers but think I actually put them on max stiff instead this made the rear really skittish and meant I lost traction half way through second making the car vier right and killing my time. I really missed the rltc tbh.
Only picture I got of mine and jons cars parked up
And a video of me getting beaten by a 330d
And dumped back in the garage desperately in need of a good wash polish and wax
In other news I took the car to supermonkykongs garage "grants of wellington" where he and evilchap set about helping me fix my rltc. After some testing it was narrowed down to a poor signal from the front right wheel, the guys found the poor connection, resoldered it and its working perfectly again
Bring on next years drag events

Good news with the rltc i was sure anticlockwise was softer for the suspension.

I need to double check but it definitely felt less grippy after the adjustment

I think the strip was dirtier as the day went on.

Could be right. I'll have a proper look at some point. I really want to get in to the 12's next year

How did you guess????

what kind of time does a standard GTR run?
The gtr's that turn up to this aren't standard either. Most are running around the 1000bhp mark and get low 10's to mid 9's in the 1/4 on this track.

Finally had time to get back on the car, only given it a quick wash and polish but think it's the first bath it's had since July
Before
After

And back it goes until spring
Even gave the other two a quick soak while I was at it

Finally back on the car
Seeing as I am doing more and more drag days and finding my gearing wasn't suited to the 1/4 mile I've decided to rectify that by fitting an auto diff, this should give me more time in fourth at the end and a quicker acceleration
It's nice having a garage to work in even if it is a decent day
Out with the manual diff
Standard side by side shot with the bushes swapped over
And all back together
Not the easiest of jobs especially as the boot floor gets in the way of the rear diff mounts. Whole job took about 2 hours stopping for lunch half way so it could be worse

Nice job. Look forward to hearing about the difference you get from that.
Me too, it's back up in the air again currently as I'm now working on the front

What you doing to the front?!
Also, have you been for a drive with the new diff yet? What did you think?
Looks lovely underneath Chris top job
