Done next to nothing on the car recently but have managed to get my strut brace ends and battery clamp powder coated as a mate was getting some bits done.

All done in blaring black but has tidied them up a treat.

Strut brace really pops now and battery is going nowhere. Strong work mate.

Ha, I wish I had more enthusiasm to work on it (well more money really). Need to start using it again and the enthusiasm may return.

I’ve been working on the car

Decided to pull my rear lca/alignment arms etc as it’s been binding badly

It seems like some of the bushes were too wide and binding, machines them down refitted and the car felt a lot more compliant on the road. Still more to do but an improvement.

I’ve been wanting to downgrade the size of my brakes a little so I have can run more 17” wheels if I decide to go down that route and I’ve always liked the Oem+ look of brembos.

I messaged a few people and managed to pick these up from Adam on here (cheers again mate )

Pretty happy with them but have started tidying them up a little before fitting them

Will fit new stickers and then clear coat them, hopefully they’ll turn out ok.

Both calipers now painted, not perfect but an improvement and will do

Bolted the drivers side up, just needs a new brake line and I can sort the other side

Look forward to testing them out.

Wouldn’t go that far just yet but it’s a start. If he drives right I’m sure that’ll help. Tempted to lose the poke and stretched tyres next....

    Nice work Chris

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

Brakes are fully fitted and are working great, I now have plenty of clearance for wheels too

Even used it as a daily for a few days, found myself driving a lot further than I’d normally bother in my Mondeo daily

Paid a visit to con2k to see how he was progressing with his rebuild, got to love the quick jacks
