My constant work in progress 14a with added jdm'ness!!!

I am sure that most people have seen pictures of my car on here before but I thought that It was about time I bore you all with them again and keep them all in one place

This is the car when I bought it

Looks much the same as it does now to be fair.
This happend shortly after I bought it while I was waiting in line at the post office to tax the car

While trying to source a new bumper I decided to treat myself to a 6000k hid headlight kit from HD as the stock lights are hopless and I'd heard many good things about this kit

These are a great upgrade and make you realise quite how bad the standard lights are

Ever since I bought the car it felt a little sloppy from the rear end. I decided to try and tighten the back end up by fitting some whiteline "pineapple" subframe locking colars like these.

While fitting these I managed to snap one of the main subframe mounts like the ones highlighted in the pic

Nissan obviously didn't forsee this being an issue as they made them so they weren't accessible and also not a replaceable part. I managed to get a member on here to cut one out of their car that was being broken and then set about trying to repair mine.

After we got this sorted I got my new front bumper and rear numberplate surround sprayed up for the bargin price of £100. I think the colour coded number plate surround makes a big difference to the look of the back end

It was at this point that I became addicted to underbonnet bling

Within a few months my engine bay went from this:

    To this:

    .

I have done plenty else to to the car also including:
.Exedy extreme organic clutch and skimmed standard flywheel
    .DBPower uprated gearbox mount
    .Egay shortshifter
    .Front + Rear strut braces

Plus more that I have forgotten.

My constant work in progress 14a with added jdm'ness!!!

A vid from my first rolling road day at circuit motors with the west country sxoc guys

And the result, all be it a bit poor and at 13psi.

I have since had it retested after a bit more work at a still weak but better 254 bhp/262 lbft @ 1bar. I am desperately in need of a remap as it's running really rich at the top end and killing my power aparently.

I should be fitting these in the near future, along with rebuilt calipers larger yellow stuff pads and braided lines all around.

I also have my Sard R2D2, Apex catch tank, SRB z edition rear valance and a full apex alignment arm set to get fitted

Cheers mate. It's sprayed with halfords rattle cans It's all in the prep as ideally you need to strip all of the old black paint off and start again using an ally primer, light coats with a rattle can and then a matchin laquor

Looking good Buddy! Excellent work on her

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

Cheers mate. I made the mistake of going for the type 2 fmic. I wish I had gone for the type 1 as it just looks that much better

Yeah I got bored last night mate so thought I would start one. Not much to see mind

The only 200's I ever see at the moment are that white 14.5 I keep seeing and a couple random s13's.

Cheers mate. The wheels are definately on the to do list. I am getting the handling/braking sorted first tho Not entirely sure what wheels to go for yet.

I am very very tempted to get some rota's to annoy people tho

Cheers mate. It's a bit dull and much the same as everyone else has/is doing to their 14/a tho.

I have been thinking about getting some spacers to make my wheels a little more acceptible until I can afford some new ones.

Can anyone recommend where to get some decent bolt on spacers that don't cost the earth?

I am thinking that a 20mm spacer might be a bit much on the back as iirc it would bring my wheels to ET15 and then I would be needing some arch work which I can't afford at the moment although I will need it for my next rims
