Hi, looks really nice, don't loose heart.
Gooddamn, valve timing it's real easy with a marked belt, sorry I can't show you, it would sort it out in a moment.

what i cant understand is how it ran worse

i took the old belt off, nothing chaged accept for me moving the cam pulley slightly to line everything up but no more than say 1 or 2 teeth, so all marks lined up including the bottom pulley,
also counted the number of teeth inbetween wich came out spot on.

    still ran the same,

put a new exhaust cam and cas in, same again, the new cam went in exactly the same as the old one and timing marked up perfect and recounted teeth.
    all fine.

    then ran even worse.

bit of a update, got an engine for the car after the bottom end decided to let go, so the plan now is to strip the engine out, refresh the engine bay (with pink paint idea taken from c-red 1jz s14)

the engine will be a fully rebuilt one from mutant motorsports ( a engine rebuild service on ebay)

so as the car stands now..

so in the mean time ive got to..

remake some decent brackets for the front mount intercooler,
remove the abs..the pump is gone but need the t-pieces,
sand the engine bay day once the engine is out,
    prime and paint it,
    new engine,
    redo the turbo gaskets,
maybe strip out the interior but not too sure yet.

Keep at it m8, it looks wkd!
I've got an engine rebuilt by mutant - done nearly 1000 miles now and all is good! James from mutant seems to be a good bloke, had a couple of probs, nothing to do with the engine and he's been really helpful.

Don't give up - it'll all be worth it when the boost kicks in and you fly up the road leaving everything behind in a cloud of tyre smoke!

just noticed now that the head on your CA is a jap spec head... or at least the plenum runners are... meaning 8port intake instead of the 4 port intake on the EU spec head...

anyway... the car have a very nice look... too bad you can't/couldn't find out the problem...

right, another update, after much thinking and ALOT of self pitty and ranting i pushed on.

DAL is taking care of the engine rebuild.

so because im dodgy as fcuk i rattle can primed the engine bay ready for pink or maybe yellow paint not sure yet...

run out of primer so need to do a few little niggles..

white intercooler pipes, think when they get hot the paint will come off, lol, will soon see..

DAL is looking forward to recieving this i bet..

the top end, abit rich maybe?
edit - you can see the tip of the plugs white, weird.

    typical s13 garage..

Mum isnt too happy with the new pond ornament..

made a better and more solid bracket for the fmic

where iv been for most of owning the car..

will update as the engine bay gets finished.

had a think about a few engine changes but just the issue of cost, maintaining, insurance, so hopefully will have it all up and running very soon.

put my faith in DAL to get it all sorted.

nissan genuine parts hopefully courtasy of kris c at nissan.

stage 1 at the end of it all.

I'd do it the same colour as the rest of your car.
