yeah i panicked for a second then realised the up to date confirmed list only has about 40 cars, the final version will have 400 and 100 circuits. But there could be some pissy infield circuits like before.

Looks like they've sorted out the sensation of speed, that vid had plenty of pace to it, good stuff

Looks like Forza 2 in a frilly frock with no physics engine work at all

VLM LeMans for Rfactor/GTR2/GPL is to the same level of detail and was made by amatures - looks like Forza will offer pretty much the same track with arcade handling and the gay chicanes, thanks but no thanks
And don't even get me started on things like the suggested line he makes out was first seen in a Forza game being being copied by others

It only finished uploading at 10, so the quality (and frame rate hopefully!)should hopefully improve over time....
To pre-empt the console naysayers it runs rock solid at 60FPS on my system, the few hiccups are due to Fraps creating a 4Gig video while I drove

They had all the aids turned on, I don't think I've seen a video where they've had them turned off so far. I *think* Forza was the first game with an adaptive racing line, one where it would change colour depending upon your speed.

For me, I tried to like Rfactor and GTR2, but I just couldn't get on with them. Perhaps they were too simmy, and as you drive a car through more than just your arms and legs I just didn't like it. Forza 2 for all its problems and there are many represented a good game which felt right. I think perhaps there's something wrong with ISIs engine, it is as old as the hills.

I don't think there have ever been any acurate simulations of cars, there have only been games with a simulated feel.

It'll be interesting to see what Slightly Mad come up with for the new NFS as they made GTR and GT Legends, apparently.

I think either NASCAR 4 or 2002/2003 had an adaptive line
As for the mod above you simply can't compare it with GTR2 as the physics were changed so much to simulate older cars on crossplys
It's more of a drift simulator now than a race sim

I like the look of that & have been wanting to move away from console driving games to PC sims for some time now, unfortunately my PC isn't really up to it yet but now that I am finally back in full time employment I should be able to upgrade in the not too distant future.

    fail

no new tracks there - lets hope it's not the only ones for that area.

And the car lineup too.. in the race car section, we have 3 GT-R's in what i'm guessing with be different colous.. 3 more SC430 and a R390.

400 cars... 300 being the same model in different colours.

Yes it is slightly dissapointing, they basically have the 2008 super GT cars and 3 tracks from Forza 2.

    this annoys me too.

Still theres more to it then that. I can honestly say that they all handled differently. Least the different RX-7s from various teams did.

It'll be nice this time if there's a wider selection of cars from each manufacturer. However with 40 manufacturers and 400 cars, that isn't a lot to play with. In Forza 2 a lot of the manufacturers had a couple and a lot had more than 10. So I guess, maybe I won't get the R32 GTR I want

Still, this is a nice comparason of the photo mode and real life...
