    Rota 17x9.5

    Hi,

I need some advice really as I'm quite a newbie when it comes to what wheel will fit with what modifications

I know it'll be a tight squeeze but will these fit over 356mm brakes? Will they fit all round on an S14 that has coilovers? Can you do any packages with say a 245/45/17 all round tyre or will I get any clearence issues on the front?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kris

    Hi Kris

    17x9.5 I take it GTR?

    These will clear 356 brakes

never usually do 245 on the front, normally stick to 235 max

Thats not to say 245 wont work, just havnt tried

Cool, yep the GTR, do they still have the tapered type spoke like the 18" 9.5's? I was only wondering about the 245/40 profile as the slightly bigger sidewall seems to be a little less harsh on pot holes over a 225/40. I did do a test fit with a 245/40 on the front with my current 18" Z33 wheels which just cleared the strut but the offset is a little weak so not sure where the GTR wheel will be. DO you have any pics with the 17" gtr on an S14?

Cool, thanks for the pics. I think the 17's are a better suited size wheel for the car, dont you?

I'm running with the 17inch wheel with 215/40 tyres. I doo that because it does not effect the gearbox that much when im going sideways.... In Denmark I know som people that are on there 3.-4th gearbox and they are using 17x9,5 with 235 tyres.....
I dont want to crush the box's thats why im using that setup.

My friend has bought Works XD9 9 or 9½ x 17 and Ksport 330mm. They would not fit under the rim so he made the breaks 322mm and removed some of the edges at the calibre. So you have to choose your rims with caution

17inch GTR's on my S14 dude just to give you an idea what they look like. Fronts are 17x9 rears are 17x9.5. Front tyres are 225/40 i think. rears are 245/45

Grids will be out in 17" later in the year.

I can do wheel and tyre packages, what size would you be after?

Ok cool I'd like either a 245 or 255 on the rear and at least 235 on the front but i'd like a little bit of a higher sidewall profile like a 40/45, would this be possible
