Only thing I'm really interested in is out dragging cars in a straight line, other people may want to do other things that require those upgrades...
This is all IMO and you are entitled to yours!
FWIW, I am currently in the process of adding coilovers and big brakes! (Mainly for look though if I'm honest!)
this is where i slide my way well out of this conversation
SLIDEMOTORSPORT - Find us in the traders section or call 01977 647277
I'm clearly not the same breed as you guys!
1 tyres, 2 brakes, 3 intercooler, 4 suspension and other mods...
sweet looking car, get some sweet 17's and drop it on coilovers asap! Have a look at the zenki japanese style bumpers, in my opinion they make all the difference to an s14.. heres two inspirational ones top one,16" GTR wheels and nismo 270r kit
second one is kitted with the factory japanese bodykit and 18" work meisters
Hope these help with some ideas
Also, why not run without a BOV altogether? sounds freaking awesome if you ask me, and only costs about a tenner to set up
And if you dont want to drive your car like a track car thats completely fine, I guess the guys' main concern is your safety should you tickle the throttle and get into trouble... but in honesty the stock brakes are good enough for the power basic mods will get you. Before you drive with your coilovers (just read you are planning some) get your wheels aligned and please get good tyres or you wont have a 200sx to go fast in. (Going in a straight line isn't as easy as you'd expect with bad suspension and tyres ^_^)

Trust me coilovers and brakes first, really transform the car, i regretted big time going the power route first in my old s13
Good to see another yorkshireman!
Nice looking car mate.
Advice for first 3 mods sounds good in here Take the advice and get it dropped and brakes changed before anything major!
Welcome aboard mate
Nice looking car
Don't return the car for lack of Whooosh noises though! The feeling of the boost outweighs the sound of a BOV!
I'm thinking of taking a dremel to my front bumper after seeing the Nismo one above. lol
1) Pineapple rings or locking collars
1a) Alignment (the pineapples will throw it off)
2) ARBs (Whiteline adjustable were my choice)
Garrett GT3071r FTW!!!!!
Either that or just work your way through the H-Dev stages.
Hiya mate,
Welcome to from a fellow Sheffield member.
I'm fairly new to S14 ownership and defiantely on the downward slope of loving the car but wanting to 'make it my own' as I call it.
Check out my project thread (Marks S14) and maybe I'll bump into you sometime
Oh and if you know somewher in Sheffield doing 'Show' plates let me know cos my usual places have all stopped them due to getting hefty fines So so wanna de-brick the front end
Bestest color! Wellcome
Eventually.. I will! Not on the top of the list though. Just cant decide what to do first!!! Everything is pointing me towards coilovers but for the cost of them I could get some lowering springs and exhaust, induction and half way to a front mount!. Know the response of coilovers are much much better but than wrecking the shocks, and eventually I will want coilovers anyway...
CHOICES CHOICES!!!
The dampers will most likely be shot anyway. Don't do things half hearted, pay for better parts and you'll save in the long run. Shame everyone I know keep buying 200's now I've sold everything.
welcome
Sod the responsiveness man, coilovers without necessary adjustments can leave the car handling like sh*te, the point is for looks 90% of shock and spring kits will leave you unhappy with the seating position, either the back will look to high or the front. With coilovers YOU choose where your car sits You can pick up a good used set of tein coilovers for 300-350 bucks
