First 200SX... 2 hours and I'm in love!!!

Hey guys and girls.. after a few modified cars (Astra, 2.5 MX3, XE Corsa) I have finally decided I am too old for all that Chavving around and bought myself a real car! I'm sure you'll all agree its a wise choice! Completely standard S14 in a colour I am yet to decide as it needs a bloody good clean (purple/blue colour!).

Ask my fiance and its staying like that... ask me and I'll tell you different but for the time being its going for a full health check at the boss of all mechanics (Kingsport in Sheffield) then let the saving commence!

Any recommendations for first mods?? Besides a turbo timer and a full service I dont know where to throw my money first!!!!

Wheels, stage 1 mods, coilovers, brakes.

    In that order.

    EDIT: Oh and very nice!

Welcome, Looks like a good example.

One of the first things is get some decent rubber if its running budget tyres.
take a look at the horsham developments website for tuning options.

MOT runs out in a few months so going to make sure it gets through that first.. if rubber is needed I have a local ROTA dealer who may be getting a visit!!! Think its going to need front brakes too so a perfect time to upgrade really.

I dont mean to sound obvious... but is there a recommended BOV to buy that works well on the SR20. Have a few friends who have bought ebay jobs and they have simply wrecks the running of the car.

    Recirc BOV's are best!

But... if you get yourself a decent BOV like an HKS SSQV you won't have too many issues! Just a bit of overfuel on gearchange. But these can be recirced with a 10 quid kit anyway! Best of both worlds!

I'd look second hand tbh mate, otherwise you're looking at the best part of £300 for an SSQV!

Loads of cheaper ones available though, Apex and D-Dev (traders on here) both do good recirc BOV's for much cheaper!

Welcome mate. Looks like your exhaust is hanging a little low at the back. Might be worth checking it's on all the mounts ok
