20's? Just a crazy idea at the moment

I've seen a sexy set of dished rims on the bay of E - they have some amazing dish on them and the widths are nice enough to fill the chargespeed f+r wide arches that are going to be getting fitted to the S14a.

My only problem with the wheels is that they are 20's!!!
If I was to get them I don't think I'd have them on as daily wheels, just more for the pose and for a few shows that I'm going to.

What kinda tyres am I going to be looking at with these?
What other issues will I have ?

    Sizes are:
    20x9 ET20
    20x10 ET25

18's look right, 19's look big, christ knows what 20's would look like.

Like I said its a crazy idea at the moment as the wheels are only like £200 at the moment.

Reckon I would be able to get in Max Power with 20's like

They'd look too big. Afaik they will also rub once you get a bit of lock on unless you batter the shit out of the wheel arches.

on 20's it'll drive like a bitch i expect, so depends what you want from it.

    they are nice but 20's

forget it the car will drive like crap. imo you should hang on until them bargin set of wheels come up.

i waited ages for mine but in the end i got some Volk CV-pros 9.5X17 et22 all round. fitted with 235/45 on the front and 255/40 on the rear. 18's would look better but i think you get a better drive on 17's i only paid £500 for them,.

so hang on until you find the perfect wheels.

Thats the kinda thing I'm after - I'm not in a huge rush but the arches are going on in April and the wheels on now will get LOST under them - spacers aren't an option as the current offset is

same here, i managed to get myself a set of 17x9" ET22 (all round) Kakimoto Super-N GT's for £200 delivered. They did need new tyres though which if bought new costs a pretty penny. I got em cheap but i got lucky as a friend desperately needed them gone.

    bargains ftw.

any way as you can see from my post and ecksjay's post good wheels can be found. leave the 20's alone and hunt like made until the one come up you know will work.

With something wide like the Vertex Ridge or BN Blister kits you'd probably get away with it. It might end up looking a bit 'Australian' tho...

No, but i bought a full set of new (but previously owned) tyres from ebay also, for 200quid (2 No. FK451's, 2 No. ZE512's), which hadn't ever been fitted, so i got one hell of a bargain.
I would have bought others like i did when i had my starlet (i had 13 sets of wheels on that, never bought any tyres, just a new set of wheels and used the tyres on those), but the wheels on the s14 are so bloody large that i don't have anywhere to store em

Someone done this before as a trial! heres how they looked (But would not drive like this!)
    Way too big imho

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!
