What are us lot the SXOC doing for TOTB this year? I'm keen to take part as I now Have 470 Dyno proven BHP.Was thinking of entering solo but if I could attempt to shower the club with glory that would be even better. Anyone thought that far ahead yet. It's June 29th this year.

I don't think you can enter solo as it is a club/team competition,

Just downloaded the entry form and as I thought theres a big box marked Private/Individual entry. It's always been open to individuals as well as Teams, Tuners and Car clubs

I think you need an 'interesting or proven' car to be accepted as an individual entry but good luck anyway

470 Bhp at the wheels might just do the trick then.

It'll be remapped for over 500 by that point to.

Is this the one you were talking about at the rolling road day? You need to get some pics up of it either way

To be competitive in the drag you need to be running well into the tens ideally 9s, which you're looking at 600 minimum really in an s-body; ideally around 800 if you want to be coming top 2 in class.
Handling is not so demanding on power, and Bling did very well last year.

The competition at TOTB is very stiff with so many very well sorted cars, it's almost depressing LOL.
It's surprising it's happening again as last year's seemed thoroughly lack lustre and disorganised.

Have they released what the qualifying times are going to be?

Their site is as usual not really working so I've mailed them to try and get all the relevant info. TBH I'm not that interested in the Drag side of things, anyone can go quick in a straight line with enough power. I'm more into going round corners and the top speed side to. Have to see what their response is.

There is no information released yet for 2009 other than,

Redline TOTB 8 will take place on Sunday 26th July 2009 at Elvington Airfield.

Team reps will be notified in Jan 2009 and individual/team entries will be accepted from 1st March 2009. Entry forms will be downloadable from this site at that time.

I'd expect under 12s to be the mark for entry (was 12.5s in 2007), if SM is organising it for the club again i'd expect a thread to appear real soon

You need a proven 12.9 for last years so I would aim for a 12 dead or 12.5 minimum down the qtr mile. Your spec with a lot of practise should see you do that

I would like to represent the sxoc this year if I can sort traction problems. I'm running 509 bhp proven and it will be more by then.
Need to do some proving at rwyb days to make sure it hits the grade. I'm sure big tone and 800bhp will be there flying the flag
