    Fake watches

I know there are a few people on here that like their watches and would frown at fakes but i cant afford the money they want for them, ive been looking for a nice watch for a bit but the only ones that ive seen are way to expensive, so i was wondering if anybody had any links etc to sites that do replicas?

    lol

Seriously though, my best mate used to work in a watch specialist store and you would be surprised what you can afford. There are quite a few models so you should be able to get a genuine brand/make and good quality.

What sort of price range you looking?

I've got a real Tag Heuer but regret getting it. With the money it cost I could get 4 or 5 high quality fakes that 99.9% of the world wouldn't be able to tell the difference between.

For that price range mate you should be able to get a nice genuine watch. It won't be the best in the range and might not even be the bottom in the range - but at least you know it wil be genuine and covered by warranty etc. You can spend half the money and get a fake, but if/when it goes wrong then that's it!

I'm off to Malaysia sunday and can get some excellent 'faux' watches, straight from China.

What are you looking for as I would be happy to grab you one. You would need to pay around £30 for a very good Rolex/Omega/Tag/Cartier. I can also get Frank Muller/Patek Phillippe (footballer's fave) for about £45.

I've been wearing a fake Cartier Santos 100 for a year now and it cost be £30 and it is nigh impossible to tell the difference between it and a real one!

Would be worth saying as well that there are some "good" fakes out there as well. Quite a few people have come into my mates store with fakes to get them repaired - not knowing that they are fakes and only when my mate pointed out the tell tell signs they realised. So to most people, they would not be able to tell

Edit - Then again, those people did not set out to get a fake......they thought they were getting a "deal"

Fakes are lame, get a decent genuine watch from a brand you can afford and get the warranty etc.

I know where you are coming from there are nice watches in the 100 - 200 range but the really nice watches start at £500+.

As much as I love watches I doubt I'll ever pay that for a watch that can go on my wrist and end up getting scratched. I'd happily wear a good fake

Its strange how some people are happy to wear a fake watch but would sneer at someone that bought an intercooler and sprayed ARC or BLITZ on it. Not saying anyone has but its wierd how life is.

I can see what you mean , and yes its strange, ive got a apex intercooler, which is just as capable as any main brand, just without the name, and no i havent sprayed BLITZ on it lol, i wouldnt however get a cheap set of fake ap brakes for example, cause thats plain silly trusting them, but a fake watch tells the time, ok maybe not as accurately as a genuine one but it does the job all the same.In all honestly who thinks that a genuine brietling costs anywhere near what they are asking for it, i mean £10,000 for a watch, id rather buy one for £50 ish and if it only last a year or two, thats fine by me

There's a line between spraying blitz on an intercooler and buying a intercooler than is an exact copy of the blitz 1 for 10% of the price.

Yes but an exact copy isnt an exact copy, because if it was an exact copy it would be a real one

    genuine casio ftw!

G-Shock, it's bomb proof. 200m, solar powered and being a wave ceptor, it's spot on to the atomic clock.

    it's not pretty though...............

Well some of the proper replica watches are pretty much spot on. They even replica the mechanics and movement.
