Little Havens Trackday - Sunday 6th September

The date has been set already

    Sunday 6th September 2009 (obviously )

Details are going to be pretty much the same as here - http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showpost.php...75&postcount=1

Any suggestions you have for events or entertainment through the day will be much appreciated

Can this be stickified again please

Thats the first thing i thought about - a proper burger type van thing with tea and coffee (saves Mark having to do the tea run )

    ITEM 1 - catering
    ITEM 2 - magazine coverage
    ITEM 3 - shootout
ITEM 4 - rides for SXOC & SOC

I'm not sure if it's in keeping with the event, but my brother in law works for a big in car audio company and I could see if he would be willing to get a couple of their show cars down there for the day? Dunno if the kids would appreciate those or not?

Also still have a fair few mates into the whole ott show car thing, maybe see if they'd be up for some charidee action?

Indeed - Kens car is betterer than those Fiat things and mine goes a lot more sideways

If you really wanted to pull a good one, how about a magazine shootout between Ken (or one of the other serious cars) on here and something equally worthy??

That would be Coolsville upon Avon.

We are deffo looking for some I.C.E to put on a show - trouble with this years event is that i didnt have enough time to get things sorted.

The more the merrier for attendees

Mind you the ferrari scuderia I went in got up to a nice ~170 on the straight

It would be good to get some DW guys along but i doubt i can swing a drifting demo or rides as the track isnt suitable its not wide enough and the corners are steeply banked with massive level changes. Its not a particularly good road surface either

Is there an area (car park etc) that can be blocked off?

Yes and no. There are plenty of car parks but i seriously doubt FMC would want dirty great tyre marks all over it

Will make some enquiries and let you know then fella, I know he has a lot on his plate at the mo but there's plenty of notice so I'm sure something could be sorted, plus it's on the headquarters doorstep, although I think most of the demo cars are privately owned.

Will ask a select few of the people I know with the show cars

Will also enquire with some of my mates with quick cars that might challenge the exotica there

Already can't wait for it and it's nearly a year away!!

This is a long term plan for Little Havens. I was thinking more along the lines of last year just better

    Pit stop comp - http://www.enterleisure.co.uk/f1s

Kids / general mucking around - http://www.bouncyparties.co.uk/bouncy-castles.htm (sumo suits ftw)

    Food - http://www.piccadillywhip.com/ and http://www.sizzlerscateringservices.com/

This idea might seem a little mundane but if you expand the static display it will give visitors more to look at while waiting for rides and encourage them to stay longer.

oh and for the catering use the sxoc BBQ

I am working on it - i want to try and get a Ford motorsports history kind of thing going on - RS200, Mexico's, the focus rally car from last year again etc

Thats a great idea but due to existing arrangements probably not possible - the Outback Steakhouse have "donated" a fairly sizeable chunk of dosh in return for trade space and the bbq will take away from thier trade sadly.
