Glad you bought a 200 as they don't do that kind of bodykit for it.

What made you buy that out of interest.

Seriously though, be very careful with your 200, its dangerous out there.

You say you are kitting it and giving it stage 1??!?!

    Good luck to you sir....

Almost every insurance company is gonna tell you to get fcuked.....

No offence but its not worth you or any 18 year old for that matter, owning a 200...They are cars that crave experience and a lot of money to keep them on the road which at 18....nobody has got!! Unless you sell drugs which by the look of that MG you probably do!!

    Tax - £200+
    Insurance - Stage 1, kit, alloys, 18..... - £2000 if you're lucky
Petrol - Current fuel prices - £65-75 to totally fill the tank
Servicing - depends what goes wrong
    Oil change every 3-5000 miles - £40+
Rear tyres - You will go through them 5 times as fast as the fronts on your MG

    Then....

Modifications - Not cheap as these aren't max pooper cars
    Repairs - Mechanical and cosmetic....

If you can stomach all those costs for at least 4-5 years when your insurance premiums come down then go for it. Otherwise skimp on the legal issues such as insurance as you are already doing and end up the sex toy of cell block D!!

    1) Please dont use text speak or i will have to kill you
    2) Please dont mod the 200 in the same way as the Rover or again I will have to kill you
    3) Please get it insured properly or dont drive it until you can. I don hope you are not insured with Flux or Sky as they have a very active presence on here and will probably kill you

If the insurance have a suspicion that your mum is not the primary driver of the car, they will try and recover any losses from you.

You have just admitted insurance fraud on an open forum.

It looks like the SXOC has made a new friend. I very nearly bought the car you did and you're right, its very very clean. Please dont kill it as it looks like your insurance wont help you, unless they chuck in some free lube anyway.

    Welcome

hi there, welcome to the club mate. i'm 18 too, i just got my s14a last month and i'm delighted with it. they are a serious handful in the wet as they dont have traction control so be aware of that. but best of luck with it

    Something isnt adding up here...

As far as I'm aware, with some insurance companies you can drive any other car with the owners permission up to the SAME INSURANCE GROUP. Now surely the mg and 200 arent in the same bracket?

Would double check with your insurance company before spending a fortune on the car!
