Wouldn't want it myself, but it is damn endearing and looks full of character.

I've never driven a car where so many complete randoms in the street are kind enough to compliment the car as I cruise past

Some quick pics before it got dark

    Martin, that is cool as

That is a stunning car, so well kept! What a fantastic purchase that was... any shots of the engine bay?

Should I mention offset? (Just messing, I know all the old school US cars are like that ) Without those wheels/tyres it wouldn't look as good. Awesome bit of kit

I'll put up some shots of the engine bay when I get a chance to taking some.

It's reasonably loud actually, the system is straight through to little cherry bombs, so it gets attention on full throttle. It would sound a bit more decent with some proper steel packed boxes on the back. Something which I will sort out in due course.

A car that is 46 years old did come with some problems though:

Starter motor hates engaging when hot,
Rear lights and brakes lights don't work (sorted)
    Brake pedal doesn't return properly
    Might need a choke connecting
    Illegal numberplates

It's quite advanced for its time. It has electric windows all round, electric adjustable seats, power steering, power brakes, air con was an option. All the lazy things you want in a car lol.

Haven't driven it today which is a shame because the weather was really nice. I had to devote today to some engine work for the old Datsun which oddly doesn't have adjustable seats, electric windows or power steering.

I googled the model to see if they had any videos of the car starting/running, but i couldn't find much, just plenty of people talking about it though.

    Gotta hear that v8.
