So regarding fitting a modern stereo?

When I bought my car back in 1995 I had a Sony CD player fitted.

Now, I assume at that time a converter was used to convert the Nissam loom to a sony one.

Now 13ys on I'm about to put a new HiFi in I assume I'll need one of these new fandangled ISO adapters?

Am I right in saying (from having searched this forum) I need a PC2-13-4 converter to convert the original Nissan connectors to a ISO one (costing a couple of quid on ebay)?

sony have used ISO for a very long time mate, i would be very suprised if you needed any more connectors

i would have thought you already have an ISO connector if the S13 didnt come with ISO as standard

Even back in 1995? Would be handy if that's what they fitted all the way back then

An after market stereo will likely have an ISO connector already

I ended up soldering an ISO plug onto the car harness. The original one had been cut off and replaced by bullet connectors
