    ITN - Crap Journalism

Is anyone else watching the ITN Evening News? Their lead story about the housing market is crap bombarding people with selected statistics that have no foundation.

Surely the whole credit crunch situation only affects you if you're trying to sell your house or trying to re-mortgage?

Also, on the internet the headline is "Estate Agents Sell One House a Week" neatly omitting the word "Some". The average is actually 12.7!

Well, if you will watch ITV, what do you expect?

It is banned from Aitch Towers

The only news programme worth it's salt is the Channel 4 news

BBC seems too preoccupied with "news" stories about other BBC programmes.
ITV is, well, toss. Always has been.

I refute that. I personally know one of the Channel 4 "journos" (Alex Thomson) and he is far from lazy.

EDIT : Also, to add, I could quickly sum up the quality output from ITV that makes me flick on to their channel with 2 words. **** and All . I've only watched ITV in the last few years for the F1 and have increasingly found myself switching over during the advert breaks

BBC marketing their own programmes as news gets me too. The whole Primark thing was a 48 hour attack on them to promote Panorama.

I don't watch TV anyway most weeks. I trust the sxoc to inform me of anything important in non sx related chat, and the members lounge. Well, and one or two other websites.

I went round to a mates at weekend, and he was watching X factor. I would have stopped and had a beer with him if it wasn't for that. I went to the pub instead, and someone had requested they put it on the TV there too. WTF is wrong with people. I had a game of pool, as luckily the TV over by the pool table had something else on it.

I noticed someone reading The Sun. Every article was about some person who meant nothing to me because I don't watch TV. The latest reality TV stars mainly I believe. Am I missing out on something here? I don't think so.

Hell, I'll give it a go now while I eat my supper... but if I can't find Simpsons or Futurama, that'll be its chance gone...

Channel 4 news is great, anyone notice however they have been pretty biased on the Obama story. Even down to smiling happily when talking about Obama, sulking when talking about McCain.
