Dibs used!
After being in hibernation over the winter, I thought I'd best start Taz up and make sure all was well.
I cranked the engine a few times with the fuel pump fuse out, until I could see oil on the cams. Then I put the fuse back in and went to start her for real. I expected it to take a while for the fuel to come through .....

She starts first time. A bit of condensation in the exhaust, this went after 5 minutes. The revs settled down a couple of minute after I stopped filming.
She ran fine when I took her out for a spin - a testemony to the reliability of the SR20 when correctly maintained
She's back in the garage now until collection

This amazing car is still available...
Someone must buy this, it is unbelievably well kept!!
Griff really loves this car.. It shows everywhere you look at the car..
Best of luck, and sorry that i've wasted your time
Bugger
This is draggin on so long....I'm thinking I might keep Taz now (at least until the financial climate sorts itself out!)
Insurance renewal just came through.
What to do? Re-insure and keep the car? Don't insure and sell?
The devil in me says "keep the car and drift it", but it's such a perfect car, I don't think I could do it to her
Stop being gay and drift it
dont mean to be cheeky but save wasting time may as well cut to the chase, considered dropping the price anymore or will you just keep it if you dont get above 4k for it?
also what kind of mileage does the vvt rattle tend to arise, this seems to b high miles with no problem of it but others have much less and do have the problem, is there a way of preventing the problem?
oh, and will you be at japfest?
No hard or fast rules for vvt, luck of the draw it seems.
When will he listen to me, take some parts off and drop the price
sell it before i buy it and end up beaten to death by the misses
Free bump
double postage...doh

Price has been dropped this morning to £3495. If you want to discuss price further, drop me a PM
No hard and fast rule. This car get's typical VVT when moving away in 1st gear on a warm engine (after being left for about 30 mins). It only does it the once. When starting from cold or hot there is no noise at all. There is no noise when idling or normal driving This is classic VVT (well, NVCTS) noise as defined by Nissan themselves and is *not* a problem. You can fix the noise by replaceing the sprocket, but it will come back and you will have wasted that money.
I doubt it...I don't get out much
I just don't fancy taking any parts off...it would be such a shame. Dropped to £3495 anyway! I must be mad
Stuff the Mrs, you need this car
At this price, she's gotto go soon
Im thinking of buying it, just for the number plate
If you had a kid called Taz born on 5th May 1997...the plate is even cooler! (Although, I like to think that's when Taz's birthday was )
Two more enquiries, jeez, peoples timing is terrible - I only have 1 week's insurance left on the car for doing test drives
Good luck with it, I may have a nose yet if something else doesn't work out. good price
Cheers Trick. Nothing for ages, then get four enquires this week and one viewing. It's a funny old game
you don't even get real tyre kickers any more, just virtual ones
