All joking aside trust me its your best option if you need to sell. Any performance parts you still have the standard bits to remove. Sell the performance parts to get some money back. Really is your best option. That way you can drop the price further

I'd knock £500 off to sell without alloys, SAFC, Bren device and head unit. But the buyer would have to find some alloys to stick on it!

Hi chap I like the look of your car.
Forgive me being a newbie but how long do these engines tend to go on, especially with stage 1 mods? Presumably with regular oil changes they will go and go.
How do the turbos fare?
Basically yes! If you look after an engine, there's no reason why it won't keep going. What kills them is not changing the oil regular, if you do 160,000 miles and rarely change the oil...well you probably wouldn't even get that far!Originally Posted by *Fletch*
Taz has had very regular oil changes ever 5000-7000 miles. More recently, it's been more like 7500 miles, but that's because of the mileage I've been doing.
To confirm : I bought the car at around 85,000 miles, she was totally pampered and running on fully synth. I've put all of the miles on after that and can confirm that except for 2 trips to York dragway (to get 1/4mile and 0-60 times) all of those miles are motorway miles! Same as above. Regular oil changes are a must, any neglect here and the turbo will die horribly. I had the turbo gaskets done about 8 months ago and asked the mechanic to check the turbo. He said there was no play in it at all, and it "looked new".How do the turbos fare?
The only criticism I could make engine-wise is that there is a minor leak from the front of the engine. It didn't really show until I degreased the engine recently. Since then, she leaves a couple of drops of (very clean)oil on the driveway after a long run. I seem to remember reading in Japanese Performance a long time ago that this was a common thing. But have a search on the forum and see for yourself.It' sveyr minor and she uses almost no oil at all. When I go to change the oil, I get out what I put in
