Hehehe, yeeah, the wheel kinda rocks

Bit more this afternoon - dash lights are in but need some work, ah well.

More importantly, local fab dude and all round top bloke ex-ctr gave up a few hours of his sunday and made me a battery tray.

    Whoop!

Badass, lick of paint and I can bolt her down:

The plan is a hole at each corner, then bolt that into the boot floor.
Then, the battery tie down bar will be a bit of box section and some threaded bar going through the boot floor.

However, bit of a problem here. Some of the places the tray needs to bolt in are 'blind' - they go into box section Anyone got any bright ideas oh how i can fix the tray down? needs to be quite sturdy to stop it moving should the worst happen. Oh, and I don't have access to a welder
    Or much skill.

i have some ''cage'' rivets that would do what you need 3/16ths they spider leg out at the back and have a large head with a rubber seal, aluminium alloy but as strong as feck, [free from work]

Ed, you're a gent No rush at all dude Really appreciate it - properly taking the pi$$ with favours from people on this car

Rivnuts look perfect! Cheers guys! I guess I'd better do some investigating - Do they just need a 'normal' rivet gun? I reckon that's something i should probably buy for my collection

Are they deffo going to be tough enough to hold the tray in place?

You need to hang around forums with rich people, rich people who don't know how much what they're selling is worth!

How much are those Nardi wheels worth roughly then?
I ask because I had one on my first RX that I broke for parts, I never particularly liked it to be honest and don't remember selling it for any special amount which probably means I let it go for about £25...

Pfffff, call yourself a wheel whore Before doing any more real work you're supposed to fashion a system to sit them on the car stuffed right into the arches, even in the absence of subframes/hubs/etc. That's how you get your badge back
