    lhd sr20det swap

    Hi guys, I am in the middle of swapping a lhd s14a sr20det into my lhd ca18det s13. Unfortunately unlike rhd sr20's the lhd sr20det's Power transistor unit loom is not a part of the engine loom. I've used John Bennets () lhd guide, but it does not describe how to wire in the power transistor unit. Does anyone know how to do this? I suppose its not as simple as just wiring in the s14 ptu plugs in place of the old s13 ptu plugs?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Are you reading the latest version?

    I also need to add stuff for the CAS -basically there's a 3-pin connector that breaks the power for the CAS (was part of the nissan immobiliser) - you need to:

    look at the S14 workshop manual, page EC-109?
    This shows the JOINT CONNECTOR, and how it breaks the power to the CAS.
    It looks like you just join up the White/black wire on pin 2 of the 3-pin connector (F8) to the black/white wire on pin 3 and it should make a connection between the CAS 12V input, and the ECU 12V supply

    I think that's all of use - I get confused with all these RHD cars and engines

    John... you're the man. I was using the old guide translated by someone in German. Got the engine running and purring like a kitten now. You've made the swap easy for guys like me who don't have any experience with wiring.

    another question. Is the ca18 speed sensor a straight swap for the sr20 one seeing how different in size the gear wheel is?

    Yeah, it's a straight swap, even though it doesn't look like it should fit.

    For the CAS, b/w wire from the ECU to pin 20 of the F8?

    Did the CAS check up last night with correctiom, still the fuel pump does not initiate. The car is a LHD the harness is RHD, I have rewired the F8, F9 and F10, there is still no joy. Also AFM and boost solenoid are extended to reach. Plugs checked and rechecked. Furel pump diagnostic is run.
