at the end polish the area where the collision oil and jet will cut the tip of jet oil

Never knew you got slipper pistons for the CA, other than the oil squirters these should be nice and light, do you know what they weigh, be interesting to see how they compare to a traditional style wiseco.

i have the same problem with my Je pistons.
i contacted JE and they wrote me this:

Many customers remove oil squirters as this is common practice to increase oil pressure. Oil squirters are commonly used on cast pistons which cannot handle the heat.

That's BS. High-performance motors have oil squirters for the reason

Are you suggesting buying at UK prices for reliability? lol.

Get a refund, and spend the money to get the proper UK set Your potentially wasting money in the longer term by having to remove oil squirters etc. Do it right first time.

However, what might be worth asking is how long do converted CA18DE's last with these pistons on a road motor?

the Yanks dont have a choice, they didnt get blocks with oil squirters. a high performance turbo motor without oil squirters for under piston crown cooling is a bit pointless imho.
as for buying UK Apex ones for reliabilty, then yes, and buy them coz they fit! bet the US ones work out dearer once youve added the cost of machining the required cutouts to the US piston skirts or worse still block off and remove the oil squirters and risk detonation due to localised piston crown overheating.
sorry but its a no-brainer, buy them right 1st time
    cheers

place the pistons on a digital scale, weigh them up, and notch them accordingly.

this isnt rocket science, its a notch to clear a squirter.

Don't mess with the slipper piston. It's one thing putting notches in skirts (and even then lots of DIY jobs have left small marks that induced cracks and cause piston failure in a few 100 miles) but don't even think about touching the web of a slipper piston.

You could cut the oil squirter and sweat on a new gooseneck end to clear.

take it to an engine building firm and ask them to modify them for you, our company has done a few like this before, my mahle pistons had to be modified for oil squirters for my rb25 engine, seems to be ok if done properly, ps mine were ebay pistons too lol

My JEs didn't have any recess, I used a dremel - tedious.
Better off geting a machine shop to do it.

They've seen some action (and det ) in their time and haven't broke yet.
