Power Fc (Rev Limiter)

I've heard the power fc uses "soft fuel cut" ,how does this differ from the factory fuel cut?

I think its not as harsh a fuel cut or limiter ie if the engine drops say 200 revs when the fuel is cut till it cuts back in, with the power fc it might drop 300 revs till it cuts back in. Not certain bout this so im open to correction

I've never hit the factory one but have hit it when i lowered the rev limit on the power fc,its not harsh,just wondering how it works and is it safer than the factory one?
