That's the one my mates have been developing over in L.A.

They did the last two ones as well.

I've got it pre-ordered. I loved the campaign in 2 and the online multiplayer in 3 (even if I'm crap still and get shot more than anything )

Interested to see how it's going to tackle the modern warfare.. something maybe GRAW has had a stronghold on for a while

I was under the impression it was the company that developed the first CoD series that are doing CoD4, series 2 and 3 were by another company. So quite how your friend in L.A. could develop this game without company hopping is news to me!

New to COD, so bought up 1 and 2 cheap. Been playing 2 and the graphics are amazing. Although it reminds me a bit of Duke Nukem in that the 3d doesnt always seem right.
Can some1 briefly summarise how each is different good/bad points?

Looking forward to this, although I'm mildly disappointed it's not WWII again... they must be running out of campaigns by now though

I thought it was IW that developed COD4? if so they didn't have anything to do with COD3.. But everything to do with COD2.

I played it on a P4 3.2GHz with a Radeon X1800 and it ran smooth as silk at 1920x1200, so I guess you should be fine at more normal resolutions. The only bit I'm not sure about is the XP 64-bit edition.

I think it might be series 5 they are doing then. Activision is split into a few different companies, one called Treyarch. think they did the last two, but only had a year for each one and it was a huge push, so for future titles two different groups are doing them alternately, so having done 2 and 3, they are now doing 5 and have till next Thanksgiving to do it, whereas this team have been working on 4 whilst Treyarch where doing 3. Think that makes sense.

By the way, they are all company hopping and nicking each others staff!!

You're running XP64? I couldn't hack it and ended up sticking XP32 back on it, when they basically said..."nope..no drivers for your N1 wireless card...ever."
