    one way valve ???

my s13 seem's to be a bit smokey in the morning not straight
away on start up but after about a mile of driving then after about 6miles or
    so it stop's
i was told that a one way valve would sort this out i'v tried the search but found nothing
would a one way valve solve the problem or just hide a more serious problem
the only smell is the v-power no coolant smell or oil burning sometimes get the
oil smell but only if i'v been giving the car a bit of stick

this is how bad the smoking is

(pic was taken on my mobile poor quality)

Use a one may valve of any car from the vacum hose for the brakes,i used a astra one,it worked a treat.

It started happening when i put an exhaust on it,it creates negative backpressure which sucks oil through the turbo seals on idle when the seals are old.

a few seconds after start up is normal to have some "smoke" due to the condensation on the exhaust... but after a bit it stops... of course I'm talking about this on cold days/mornings/nights and humid...

if it smokes on idle after 40min or so driving...then it is the turbo seals... a owv should give a help...

i have it when in traffic for about 15 mins.

i have a 1 way valve, i know you have to put it on the pipe that goes from the elephant trunk to the cam cover.

but what way does it face? there is an arrow on the OWV, does the arrow point to the air filter or the engine?

i tried it before, and it smoked worse?? i must have put it in the wrong way???

    please help me too!

i would have assumed it would point to the engine (probably wrong though)

sorry to say but you are mate, you point it outwards away from the engine so the engine can breath otherwise you get a build up off pressure in the engine that wont be released.
