just read this, i cant say i even know who the guy is to be honnest, but looking at this thread it looks like he has touched a lot of people,

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!
I've lit one, it's brought back more tears to my eyes
Dear all,
We've received the following words from his family:
Dear SCOX members,
Thank you very, very much for all the support you give us, the family, by posting all your reactions about Fernando's sudden death. We're surprised by all the friends Fernando has made over time, but we appreciate your comments very much.
Fernando is home now at his parents house in Kleve, Germany. Fortunately, he has little visible injuries and he still looks the Fernando he always was... A little beard, wild hair and still that grin on his face.
He will be cremated on 14:30, saturday 28th of july in the city of Beuningen, near Nijmegen.
Thanks 4 all the support,
Will & Ineke Gerts,
Ronald, Tamara & Sanne van Raaphorst(-Gerts)
And this pic was send by his sister:

Yesterday we had a little brainstorm session on SXOC.nl
A good girlfriend of Fernando has made this:
We are going to drive with this kamikaze[EEND]je on the cars.
For those who don't understand this beautiful language, EEND = duck So now you understand the picture
I never Met the bloke...judging by the response here...completly my loss.
RIP

As a newbie to SXOC this was my first year at JAE with you guys and luckily enough I had the pleasure of meeting Fernando on the Saturday evening just after his attempt at the YOA .
The big guy stood on my foot but as the true gent would (and even after the YOA!!) he turned to me, apologised, shook my hand and introduced himself It was only a brief chat but even from that I can completely understand why he was so loved round these parts and why he is such a memorable character.
I guess, as a newbie, I kinda wish that I had the opportunity to get to know fernando better as he was an instantly likable and friendly guy . Even though our paths only crossed for like 10 minutes on a Drunken Saturday evening in a muddy field I feel privilidged to have met him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family friends and anyone that was lucky enough to have met him
Cheers
J.
I didn't know him but what I've read about him, makes me understand Fernado was a great guy. We'll missed you.
My thoughts go out to all his friends and family.
RIP FERNANDO

Just logged on for the first time in nearly a week, to find this near the top.
I only met Fernando once when he came by to pick up some wheels I sold to another dutch guy. He was a such nice guy; had a good chat with him
Very sad news; why does it always happen to the good guys
