I look at this when you posted the sump pics when I was at work and thought "Lots of little x's. Why post pics of an oily sump ? "
Just seen them at home and I can see why they blocked them at work ! That's pron ! Awesome.
Thanks Jonny, sump porn, how nerdy can it get.
95% of the credit goes to Steve who spent the hours making it, with the other 5% being my nagging input.
I'd had better not surge!
nice build looks awesome!
To make the water pipes easier to route to the heater matrix and turbo in RWD format the stat housing has had a couple of appendages added.
Please forgive my noob-like post here - but WHEN you do finish this, what are you planning to use it for?
You sound like my wife, Ben ! It's about the journey, man !
LOL, I think Jonny asked that a few pages up.
Bit of track, drag, going to work & mincing around.
A work of art and no mistake, attention to detail amazing love it
Not much to report, but here's the crack trigger set up.
Ditched the nasty original 4G set up and gone with a sensible Toyota 1ZZ set up.
As normal, a fair amount been getting done, but not many updates.
here's a few things..
An engine with some covers and pulleys, the pulley on the right is an idle to replace the PAS.
Bit of wire to measure the belt length.
We've had to modify the sock water pipe a lot, blanked some bits off, added a rad feed (where blue hose is attached) and on the left you can just see that the original rad feed has been reduced to feed the heater.
The bits were brazed on, it's gone to be plated today.
Here's the wastegate piping, all done ready to weld.
Those fan belts look a bit worn, mate. You might want to look at changing them !
update time.
engine & box is in, clutch working, exhaust pretty much finished.
Wow! Almost looks like it might actually get finished...
It was always going to get finished, but who knows when...?
Not 'that' much to do now.
Spent a couple of hours putting stuff on the car today, here are some pics of some bits.
Water pipe that had a fair amount of butchery carried out on it, before being re-plated.
Clutch, quatermaster twin plate which was a bugger to line up without a tool and a broken lathe. Steve fixed the latch in the end and all was well.
I'm using SR20 Splitfire coils, Steve made a bracket to hold then nice and snug. The best bit is that the stock coil cover still fits so looks factory, as long as they don't start overheating...
And finally the prop all connected up ready to go...

Update time...
Much work has been done to mount the radiator and IC, the loom is essentially compete and is in the car and the output tests being done.
As ever Steve has been awesome at making the shiny bits, and I've been playing with wires.
I'm going to dump some photos...
