you know you own a s13 when youve not long owned it and hardly driven it due to finding problems and trying to improve or repair it. yet you still love it ad get seduced by it every time you see it parked on your driveway
...when your contemplating getting another.
Matthew
When after months of hard graft, it gets written off, and your immediate thought is, here comes another and more welding!!!
when your driving home in your shitty comuter from work and you get overtaken by an mr2 turbo closley followed by a soarer and just wish you had your stage 2 toy so you to could go and play, you then curse frantically the pathetic accelation of you poopy diesel thing
(well i did last night )
SX daily-drivers FTW!!!

you know you have an s13 when you hear bottom end knocking then you go home to look for an engine and find yourself looking at all parts and mods lol well thats me lol
when you hear engine parts falling off and hitting the underside of the car as your driving but it doesnt worry you as your saving weight
... you haven't reattached the undershield for 6 months, and promise yourself "one day".
... you just spent more on the car in one conversion than you did to buy the car in the first place.
... your wife asks "is it meant to be making so much rattling noise?" and you wonder what's she's going on about
this thread is AMAZING hahaha, although i am slightly worried now... As I am soon to be buying my first 200sx, and was considering the s13.... This has started to put me off, haha
'Most' S13's are just simply old cars now, and as an older car the majority need work as things wear out. The same will be true for S14's very soon... just S13's having comedy value In all seriousness, I haven't actually broken down yet since I've owned the S13. I'm getting everything built up around the engine first before I play with it as I don't want to promote any chance of BE's going. When I eventually do the engine I'll have the cash (hopefully) to resolve the problem should one occur.
Get an S13, just be prepared to do some work (if not a mint model), their great
back on topic:
...you actually advise buying one
lol... what do you mean, I have one of those?
Anyway, by the time I get to look it will most like have done a disappearing act.
You know you have an s13 when you`ve moved house more times than you`ve driven your car in the last 12 months...
You know you have an S13 when you have spent ages refurbing one. Despite the credit crunch, we refuse to part with it
Some things are sacred, Our S13 is that. It will never be sold
That said, it looks a bit sorry for itself these days. It hasn't turned a wheel in 8 months I need to get my finger out and clean it up a bit.
S13's are a fantastic drive
Pic of it in it's former glory

You know you have an S13 when youve gone through 4 engines in a year, the car is sitting in your garage engineless yet you just cant bring yourself to break / sell it.
