Ejector seat
there is a solenoid attached to it... and its not line lock (already fitted)
Is it a fluid control valve to allow clutch to engage smoother.

Unfortunately I can't see a switch is it a toggle switch, latching or releasing push type?

Indeed it is..
As my clutch is pretty much an on or off type of thing,
this should help getting off the line and save a few transmission parts.
Should get more consistent launches.. no more bogging down or spinning the tits off the car.
so its like the OEM clutch delay valve??
Lol

Went to bolt the ECU back in...( had a few little goodies unlocked )
Feck..
As I have some sheet metal knocking around..
And done..
I know it looks like a trivial thing but it's most annoying when shite like this happens.
Instead of a 5min job it turned into most of the day. cutting, shaping, painting.
God I hate cars sometimes... Then I remember what she can do and its all good again..
Ok... We finally made it to an airfield..
it was a Straightliners event at Smeatharpe airfield.
After a 5yr build and not driving her we knew we wouldn't put in any impressive times first time out, so we used this event to give the car a shake down.
The car performed well (despite the drivers hindrance, it has been 5yrs people)
One thing we did suffer from was TRACTION....
as soon as she came on boost in 2nd and 3rd it span up the wheels and
tried to send the car off the track...
we may have picked up an earth issue, water temp spiked when giving it a boot full, stopping me doing burnouts, so we need to clean up all earth points..
We were also only running 1.8 bar (we should be running 3bar)
heaven knows how that is going to feel because at 1.8bar it scared the shite out of me..
the car is a massive handful....
So in conclusion...
the car held together,
at 1.8bar she's a handful,
at 3bar she's gona kill me,
we need a prepped track for any chance of traction.
I need to learn to drive.
This is a great build can't believe iv missed this
Out of interest how did you track your earth fault and what symptoms did it cause?
We looked at the log on the ECU and discovered that the water temp spiked when giving it a boot full, conclusion was a dodgy earth causing the ECU to go into safe mode.
I have now re earthed the battery (to a new location) and cleaned every earth point I can find.
We still need to test it by going somewhere and doing a static burn out, hopefully we have sorted it.
Are you bringing it to Shakespeare in a few weeks (May 13/14)?
