Thread: Apexi Special Offers

  1. #61
    Dan,

So far they have been very good at preparing and shipping stuff to me as soon as I order it.
However, some of the questions I ask them take a few days before I get a reply but so far I have always had a good accurate answer.
I know you have been waiting a while and I'm sorry it has taken some time but I am expecting an e-mail tomorrow morning with the information regarding the aluminium induction box.
If the info you need isn't in there then I will be chasing it up ASAP.

    Aluminium inductoin box

    Dan,

As promised I now have the information regarding the aluminium induction box you were looking for.

As with the carbon box it is designed to work around the pod filters rather than being a fully contained airbox in it's own right.

Again, sorry it took a while

Ah, crap! Guess it won't fit mine cos the Blitz filter's slightly larger than the Apexi one isn't it. Hmmmmmm, wonder how close it is around the filter....anyone think it could be made to fit?

Dan, I`ve got one and you might get away with the Blitz filter. I used to have an HKS jobbie and that definately wouldn`t fit. If you`ve got a FMIC then the 'seal' isn`t too good as one of the pipes that it`s shaped around is removed.
Paul C took some pics on Monday so if he pulls his finger out and sends me one I`ll post it.

    S-ITC

    Jibber and Phatty,

I have checked with Apexi and there are no more S-ITC's available.
Just wanted to confirm this for you.

    Hi mate,

Just wondering are these deals still going to be around after xmas? I am skint now until the new year but am thinking of getting one of your Apexi N1's to go with the front pipe I will be ordering.

A couple of questions if you please?
    1. Are the N1's comparible to a NUR spec R?
    2. Is it loud (compare to a NUR spec)?
    3. Will an N1 go straight onto an S14 98 model without having to bend/break/make any brackets?

These may be silly questions but I am well known for them now so why break a habit of a lifetime.

    Gambachi,

    Here goes

I haven't heard an N1 on a Supra but as far as I know the noise levels are more comparable to a Hiper Muffler.
The Blitz Nur Spec R is a very loud pipe (the loudest I know of) and the N1 titanium should be a little quieter.
That is not to say that the N1 is quiet, far from it.

It will fit straight onto your S14 with no mods necessary.

S13 injectors are £5 cheaper than S14 ones! No fair!

Do these injectors drop straight in or do they need some sort of extra fitting kit?

I do need a chrome or polished power steering reservoir!!!

  15. #75

    Injectors

    Dan,

The injectors will plug straight in (as long as they are the S14 ones in your case). The S13 injectors won't fit your car.
You will need to remap your car to suite the bigger injectors however with something like an S-AFC or Power FC.

    bigtone,

sorry, they don't list a power steering reservoir anywhere so I can't help you with that one .

Cheers Mr EJ, I've got the F-CON S (another first for me) on the car so they'll be fine.

Actually Mr EJ, plans have just changed slightly (see http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.p...threadid=26863).

Tell me all you know about the Apexi FMIC's. I've been looking at the HKS & Trust ones but fancy being different.

    Dan,

The Apexi GT-Spec intercooler for the S14 measures 276x610x88mm and incorporates the 'delta fin' design technology.

More info can be found here :

    http://www.apexi-usa.com/intake_gtintercooler.asp

I should be able to give you an accurate price by tomorrow.

Congrats on the tax rebate, it's not often that it's them giving you money

I would say go for it Dan. Subjective comments I heard from a guy who upgraded his HKS Type S IC to an Apexi GT Spec were very positive. Claimed it felt like a different car with much better acceleration through the mid range. Remember its subjective, but the guy (on Freshalloy) tends to be one of the more sensible ones there. I believe he was running some serious kit with it e.g a TO4E turbo.

They're a bit more expensive than entry level Trust or HKS coolers but hopefully Mr EJ can do a good price
