Thanks, Just had a chat with Mark who told me to get myself down to the local meets and quickly explain who I am before you throw things at the car
Also gave some info about the previous owner who sounds like a but apart from the owner is there anything I should know about the car itself? as Im starting to have second thoughts on parting with my £300.
any info would be much appreciated
It' would have to be pretty bad to be worth less than £300 to be honest, when its fixed you should be able to put a grand on that.
Try searching for threads started by SWS, there were a couple of issues and not too sure if he resolved them. You can also search for threads started by CA POWER and laugh as he tries to give himself advice using the SWS account.

Have you read his posts on sussexjapclub? He mentions the brake pad falling out the caliper and continuing to drive it using the handbrake and gears to slow down.

I suppose, as you paid £300 for it, there is room to spend some money to
get it going again.
Welcome to the SXOC by the way, and hope you enjoy your stay!

As Landspeed rightly points out though, you got it seriously cheap so you could still spend £1k on it, get it running sweet and it would still be a bargain.
nice imagine a woman with a stage 2 s13 lovin it
welcome to the board, have fun and erm .. ignore johnny
Not really keen on spending 1k on it to be honest, I'll get it up and running - if the misses likes it I'll keep it for her, if not then I'll break it for parts and sell it

the thought "lampost" springs to mind
nah you shouldnt think about that, just be careful and only floor it if its in the dry and you KNOW there are no cars on the road for at least a mileOriginally Posted by tasha p79

tasha_p79: Welcome.
I'm always round the Bognor / Chichester area (well everyday), if you need a hand, I'd be happy to help. I'm also a mechanic which helps.
Paul_G: you in Chichester too?
