Any one got these and are they any good?
I'm up for 4 new tyres to replace my Kumho Ecsta 712's...

They're what i plan to replace my rear GSD3's with
Yeah they're pretty good. The 451's were better though, IMO.
How do you find them in comparison to the Goodyears?
Jut
for the money..... very
i put some on the back of mine not expecting much but i have to say i was very impressed, so much so there now on the front
takes a lot of throttle/clutch abuse to unstick them in a straight line wet or dry.
cheap too, from camskill
i will get some more
I recently had 4 of them fitted in 225/40/18, for £67 each plus fitting I can't complain
They're ok for a cheapy tyre... IMO, the wet performance isn't brilliant but not bad enough to warn people away.
Just had a pair slapped on the ass of my SX. A lot more "solid" feeling than my Pirelli's were. Not had a proper chance to test them out yet, but they don't want to come unstuck which is good
Will be grabbing 2 for the front very soon.
I've got them on the rear and I find it easier to control the back end when it starts breaking away, to the extent that I can beat the traction control at it's own game
As for comparitive grip, I have to say that I haven't noticed any difference whatsoever in wet or dry from the F1s I was running before. What I did notice was the £50 a tyre saving
(although, I really must get around to re-setting the TC with the new wheel sizes )
So far so good then, I think I'll definintely have a look getting some Especially with the saving over the F1's
Anyone know if you can buy directly from Falken and is this the most cost effective way?
Jut
I've always found www.blackcircles.com to be good
camskill where cheapest for me. suppose it depends on the size though
I'm after 225/40 R18 (front) and 255/35 R18 (rear)
Buying directly from Falken looks to be nice and cheap
Jut
i find them great stick like shit to a wet blanket on the skyline, which is admittedly harder to unstick than an SX.
Mr Dunn have you been sniffing glue? 451's i loathed, always have done, never got grip with them, though i suppose being drifty you probably like that
Good tyres Massively better than the 451's in dry and wet. Other points of possible interest...
Better in the dry than F1's and much better in the dry on track or very hard driving.
Seemed as good as F1's in the wet on the wifes car when I put my wheels on her car, but a bit worse than F1's in the wet on my car. I have F1's on the rear because of this
Currently scrabble powered - Leon Cupra 280
Ah but is that from a Grip or Drift point of view?Originally Posted by SteveDunn
Sorry. Yeah that was from a smoke making point of view
I have them fitted all round. They were awesome on a wet track day
