dump valves

now i know i asked this question about 2 to 3 years ago but things might have changed....... whats the loudest one i can get.

Turbo XS are supposed to be very massively loud

thanks arry, just read a review which in brief says

The BOV Type S is recommernded for small to meduim turbo charged engines running up to 15 psi boost. Each valve is individually tested to hold 30 lbs. of boost. Sizing of the valve is based on flow and not boost pressure. The valve vents to the atmosphere at sound pressure levels in excess of 106 db when measured 3 feet from the valve.


106db sounds reasonable

sounds excessive if you ask me - but you're the one with the turbocharged car

there a a few cossies around here which drive around at 30 mph dumping excessively, and i'd like to have a bigger dump

i also like the product code for the turbo xs which is TXS-TYPE-H-RFL
and the RFL stands for "Really F**king Loud"

Don't bother with a dump valve, the car seems to like it better without. less chance of a leak as well
