Smabo's s13.4. less charlie sheen , more dirty slutbag

My plan was to make a thread once complete, but I've got so many pics already I figured I'd make a start now, if only for me to keep track of what's been done Before I get started, a massive thanks is in order to Kev, Kieran (my_sxy_s13), boyskew, and the rest of my mates for their amazing help so far - legends!

Begins with F217NNF, which had reached the end of her life after 17 years. The rot was getting a bit ridiculous:

So a new shell was called for. After a false start thanks to snow The new car was collected with the garage kevsport recovery vehicle...nice wee 800 mile round trip with a trailer to pick up a 2-tone non-running non-turbo automatic...yay!

That was back in March, fast forward to the last week or two, with one deceased 200 and my exams all finished. First step was to strip bits of the engine to be used down, to sort the head gasket and have a look at the bottom end

With that done, me and boyskew set about removing the engine and box from the 200

S14 owner in "gets hands dirty" shocker

Minty engine bay Thanks to my patented self lubricating engine bay system, generally known as a blown front crank seal.

Next step - get everyone over together to swap the full rear subframe assemblies over between the 2 cars. The one from the 200 was already polybushed, and had my Z32 rears and 5 stud hubs attached, so the plan was to take the whole lot over

    Arty-farty jack

Catalogue model posing with only brand new part I've bought

Words cannot express how precariously the 200 was balanced

Good subby all bolted back up to the good car

Looking good, mate. Your alignment might be out a bit though...

Onto yesterday's work, getting rid of the non-turbo and automatic gayness.

Some of the crew desperate to get started working!

    Just undo this bit here...

    And it comes right out!

    Wide fenders

    MR 200SX

How to completely transform a 200 - a nice N/A slushmatic conversion, mounted far far too forward (what engine mounts?) to promote understeer, yay!

    Check out the lowrider...medium pimpin'!

A simple solution for those wanting to go RB30 but are worried about bonnet clearance

Finally today's work...swapping over the good front end parts (brakes, hubs, suspension) and getting everything needed from the 200 ready to be scrapped tomorrow

    Strike a pose!

No horse powers, just one John-power

Front garden of shite (the back's worse)

And the point we're at now, end of today's work

    My poor 200, RIP tomorrow

That's pretty much it, next steps are the wiring fun and building the new engine back up ready to go in. Thanks again to all those mentioned above, I'd be fcuked without them!

P.S. Ignore the playstation wannabe front bumper, that part will be getting chopped out!

Cool - will be watching this with interest

I'd imagine it'd probably be a pain to get the pop-ups working with the Silvia loom, are you going to transplant the one from the 200SX, or are you going to try to source a Silvia front for it?

Will be staying a onevia, and the wiring does indeed look to be a bit of a pain. Like most mechanical goings-on, I haven't the slightest clue about that kind of witchcraft...Kev and my mate did take just about every last bit of loom out of the 200 though, so it's in there somewhere

Cool - the only working Onevia I've seen on this board had pop-ups that you had to wind up be hand, so working ones would be an event

Is the front being painted the same shade as the rest of the car, or are you going for a totally different colour?

Put the pre-facelift bumper on it and throw that facelift monstrosity in the skip!

I was struggling to decide between the 2 Pete...but then I broke the pre-facelift one at Crail last time out so that clinched it! Not totally sure on a colour yet, but it'll be done as cheaply as possible, spray can stylee

I'll try, but I'm lacking the mega-pimp wheel fitment and about 900bhp at the moment..

Really? Seems a shame, that Silvia is a lovely shade of dark green...

But anyway, I'll stop telling you what to do with YOUR car

    looking fantastic .

'Onevia'? Nissan made loads of S13 like this in the US as (240sx) 'S13 coupes' I think (ours is the 'fastback') Don't know of any in the UK though, even DIY hybrids

They did indeed John, but "onevia" is all mad jdm tyte y0 innit!

Pete - the green only seems nice in bright sunlight, its sat on my drive in the dull weather for 3 months looking pretty boring! It'd be nice to paint it properly, but I have the smallest budget possible....considering a matt grey colour, either like primer or the darker grey on the big U.S. air force planes
