dont know quite why you'd want a sony amp as they are notoriously poor...

but www.cel-direct.co.uk would probably sort you out with one..

well if its sound quality on a budget you are after i really like vibe... only 150 quid for a 15" ... obviously it isnt the best vibe offer but its a nice sub... the sub comes in 10" and 12" as well...

it all depends on budget mate... what you looking at? 300 quid? 400? 500?

for 300 quid id get 1 vibe 12" and a mrvt320 1X400 peak amp from alpine... nice amp for the cash and good sub...

sony are not very good... especially x-plode stuff... bad sound quality, cheap n chearful... your better off getting 1 decent sub and amp than 2 pants subs and a rubbish amp......

plus if you start with a small amount of quality gear you can build on it....

also db got good ratings... the 15" is only 150 and pounds like a beyatch on heat... coupled with a decent amp, probably the mrvt420 1X600 watt from alpine that would be loud...

give your local ice shop a ring and ask about the stuff above and see what they can offer you... if they cant get you a good deal try some of the popular mail order firms... ice direct are a good one...

if your after some descent sq bass for very little money try looking at the classified section on..

    http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/forum/

if you have £200 to spend this will be real nice.. and its all boxed etc..

    http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/ubb/ultim...c;f=9;t=001855

if your not too keen on spending that much there wil be loads of cheaper stuff available..

your better off getting 1 decent sub and amp than 2 pants subs and a rubbish amp......
in RE to onion boy i completely agree.. if youre on a budget just by one descent sub and amp.. theres nothing worse than lots of crap subs.. they wont sound as nice and will take up all your boot space.. plus if you do go to sell them noone will want them..

if youre wary about buying second hand, Alpine SWS's are supurb value and so are their amps two channel amps (which you can usually bridge to run a sub)..

The Kicker subs are the ones to look at. (IMO)

Xplod isn't supposed to be supposed to be cutting edge sound quality, its designed to appeal to spotty 18 year old boy racers with old escorts. Thats why they light up like an emusement arcade and they're cheap. I find it quite interesting when I get to work on some of these really highly rated manufacturers equiptment to find sony chipsets inside that sony stopped using 5 years ago!
