going to be taking out adrian flux insurance like tonight or tomorrow night, need it for sat. also going to become a member here to get the discount.

will this be able to take effect for my quote if i join right now?

also if i do add my mum to the policy it drops £150, however, if i then need to make a claim it will effect her no claims wont it? so dont want to do that really.

    help !

    I did a quote on my s14a.

25 yrs, 2 yrs ncb, 1 claim (my fault, write off), sp30 (1 month ban).

    £3500 full comp.

    TPFT....£4000! lol...

I've only ever called adrian flux twice and have been very disappointed by their quotes! Yeah i know i got a poor driver history, but confused and the lot are saying £2300, which is still too much anyway...

    Quick questions:

How early in advance are you able to quote?

Would it be possible to get a quote (presumably be happy with it), pay my money before 1st Jan to avoid the VAT increase and have the policy start mid Jan?

Is there a minimum age that you can mirror no claims for? (I understand it depends on the car(s) and situation)

I am due to give you a call soon although it would be nice to know these bits in advance

    Cheers

    Hiya,

We can quote up to 28 days in advance. You don’t pay VAT you pay IPT which is only going up from 5% to 6%. If you have the quote and pay for it before the 4th January 2011if the inception date is after that date you will have to pay the higher amount.

With regards to the mirroring NCB, it depends on each individual scheme.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks
    Dan

Just got a quote for £638 on my s14a, all mods declared, like for like replacement. 24, 5 years NCB, driving for 6 years. Very happy at that.

Just finalised my insurance on my 1998 S14a and nobody could better Adrian Flux's price.

Staff I spoke to were very helpful and answered all my questions. I've got my certificate and a letter confirming all of my mods straight away through email

Couldn't be happier with the service as I thought insuring the car this year would be a nightmare. Cheers Flux

£100 less than my renewal quote from A-Plan, but now including NCB protection, unlimited mileage, 60 days european travel and girlfriend added as a named driver.

    Well done AF

And thanks to SXOC for the club discount

Just not competitive for me in comparison with a renewal with Admiral multicar. Over £1k compared to about £300. Fully Comp.

    S14 stage 1a

33, unfortunately only 2 yrs no claims due to a stupid £2k incident, Married, low risk good job, good area.

Only difference being Admiral don't cover all the mods on a replacement basis.

Disappointing but I guess thats the way it goes.

Yes it is. Closer to 10% though.

I called them today for a quote. Just say you are part of the members club.
