    Winge time

They asked for proof of Members club

I sent them a copy of the letter I received on joining (not my card as I'd misplaced it at the time, found it now )

So I get a letter saying thats no good as it doesn't have a date on it I've got nothing to say I'm a member at this moment

Any ideas? screen print of the members area, may be the members lounge

Fecking Flux, knew this would happen

Well I called them up and said I could send them a print of the members page, that didn't seem to get through

So the operator asked when my membership renewal was and I couldn't remember, thought it was November may be??? all of a sudden that was good enough

    weird place

How come everyone else has had to prove membership?!?

I just said "Oh yeah, I'm with the SXOC" when they asked if I was a member of any car clubs/members clubs and they didn't say anything else or ask for proof.

Probably why my insurance was still £580 though.

EDIT: Off-topic, but Phil... I know why my wheels were catching - wheel weight on the inside rim catching the shock/strut

I filled in there quote form there wanting £825 comprehensive, thats pretty good, 20 3 years no claims in febuary and ma dad as a named driver, it asked if I was a member of a owners club. so I assume they'll want proof of being a member when I fone up to buy the policy?
not sure if elephant can keep up with that!!!!

I severely doubt it - they are about as much use as a fart in a space suit. I am glad I moved elsewhere. Any muppet brokerage can get a cheap underwritten policy from the market - its how you administer and manage it, and any potential claims that is the key - FLUX FAILS ON ALL COUNTS.

Additionally, I keep getting my details sold on to other companies - Many thanks for your recent enquiry into the data held at The Trading Floor for third party marketing.

"Your details were collected by Adrian Flux on 03/05/06. Following your request, we have now removed your details from the database and added you to our suppression file to ensure you will not be added at any further point. It may take up to 28 days for the database to be fully up-to-date, therefore we would ask that you bear with us if you do receive a few more emails whilst this takes effect.

You may be interested to know that there is an organisation called the Mailing Preference Service, which is free to register and helps to stop the receipt of unsolicited direct mail. For further details please see http://mpsonline.org.uk

Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance.
    Kind regards
    Kully"

I am now going to email Adrian Flux and tell them they are in breach of the regulator, I never consented to have my details shared with anyone - if this happens again I am going to have them breached, and prosecuted - and struck off.

This might be a little checky but I got a policy off Flux on the 29/02/08 (£1506 fully comp, agreed value, limited mileage, 23, no NCB, me as policy holder ) and then joined SXOC on the 06/03 ... is there any chance of getting my membership discount as a refund?

    Hello,

If i can have your Client Ref then i can certainly mark your file as being a member of this forum for your renewal time where you will get the discount applied. I can also look into seeing if your insurer will do the discount now but i can't promise anything.

    Dan.
