silver uses a white base coat anyway doesnt it?
i have no idea, but the japanenes love their white colour i dont
silver should go staright on, but as for black, you may need a darker base coat, but i'm no expertOriginally Posted by Sykes

I would say £1500 for a good job.
Depending on Finish/ paint used, uyour going to be a minimum of about £400 just for materials alone, paint is approx £30 per litre, you need at least 2 of base coat, then there's laquer, then there's filler/ paper/ heat etc
Then you have to strip the car of whats not to get painted - done properly, mask the returns and checks, this could take well over a two days alone, that is after you have preped every panel, then paint. So your talking about 5 days work for possibly 2 guys at approx £300 min per week, then add profit fot the guy to stay in business.....
Hope that is a help to see where the money goes.
