Exclamation Will this size wheels fit on the front?

I found some new wheels but not quite sure if they fit in the fronts.

Now I have 8,5J wide with offset 35 in the front. The wheels I want are 9J wide and have offset 40.

    Anyone ever tried it?

9J is quite wide for the front

et30 (like the R33 GTR rims) is just about perfect, higher et figure may cause problems with your suspension, but it depends on the diameter

    9x16 et40 wouldn't fit
    9x17 et40 I doubt it
    9x18 et40 could be OK

You can use a spacer if the wheel hits the suspension

I think they might go straight on if you're running something like a 235 or 225/40 at the most you'll need a small spacer, say 5mm

Im running 9j 17'' with a -24 offset but had to use 6 mm spacers also as caliper was brushing the spokes. seems fine though.

    Not really surprising

    you'd need a 5-10mm spacer

Do you have a pic of those wheels they sound lovely. Or did you mean +24 offset?

im thinking +24 actually, but cannot remember! was too hasty using the quick reply ! need to get some decent pics of the car and wheels soon really, and will post one up.

have found the ebay seller i got them from, i have 17'' with +24 offset, looks like he is doing them in 18'' now with +12 et! linky:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-in...temZ8044168744

just lookingn through the other wheels he sells and can confirm i meant +24! still bit concerned that when i lower it im going to have rubbing issues.
