no prbs
OK, it works now
cool how to
thanks
As long as it helps at least one person, I've not wasted 2 hours tonight doing it, and risked ruining my camera (with oily hands whilst I was taking the shots) for nothing
i guess it's basically the same for all coilovers, just need to find a cheap second hand set now
Well done that man.
great guide though i've fitted mine, off the back of this, and ever so slightly off topic what Damper ratings are people running ?
Shawjohn - ??
i'm running standard rims too, been fiddling but haven't settle on a setting.
6/4 springs, std wheels & tyres
Dampers...
Fronts: 4 clicks from soft.
Rear: 3 clicks from soft. .................For now - still testing
Hmmm. i'll do bugger all track events so mines purely road going settings, i've tried harder, 10 F against 6 R.Originally Posted by ShawJohn

Nice work John!
Wish one of these had been available when Bayside Blue and I fitted ours.
I meant to write it over three weeks ago but lost the data cable for my camera, so I bought a card reader off ebay only for it to be held at a ParcelForce depot for two weeks due to strike action
Better late than never though
Cracking guide, good work
Your alignment settings got me thinking.... what was your point of refernce for them or are they just a 'general' guide?
Here are some i found on a Whiteline article 'Real handling for the 200sx':
Front
Toe - 0
Camber - 1.5 degrees negative
Castor - 3.5 degrees postive
Rear
Toe - In 2mm both sides
Camber - 1.1 degrees negative
0.25 degrees more on left (can't make out whether they are talking about camber or castor for this line?)
Does anyone know if castor is adjustable on standard components? I assume not?
Cheers for the comments guys
The settings were supplied by Bren with the camber arms which I am yet to fit...
Reference points
All you need to measure is the ride height Inside the wheel arch top just where the outside starts to roll inside --> the wheel centre (NOT the hub centre as it will be different). Oh and make sure the wheels on the car
Leave the rest to a competant mechanic, who HAS the right equipement, invariably involving lasers and spirit levels, and the like You just give him the settings and come back a few hours later
The money you spend on the alignment guy will be saved in tyres in less than 6 months

Nice one
One recommendation. Attach the coilovers at the base first, then lift the top into position. Its easier.
Never thought of that, thats the price you pay doing it on yer own no new ideas
I'll ammend that
Looks good, camber/toe/rideheight will vary in setup between peoples needs, but thats the beauty of fully adjustable stuff (if you get the required arms too)
Fixed, and further edited , also new smaller download, as I learned a bit more about Word2003
Feck, think I've uploaded the wrong one, hang on a minute GREEN !
