    Tel: 024 7666 2383

As name suggests, they do MOT failure type welding repairs, £30 a patch, do a nice neat job, its not worth faffing with the welder for the job they do. Couple of old boys run it and always seem to be busy, but able to squeeze another job in somehow. Ive had my sills done there and some patchwork on the inner arches and chassis rails.

    90 Nelson Lane
    Warwick
    Warwickshire
    CV34 5JB

    Tel: 01926 419526

Fabrication place where I used to get ali welded, but they are quite slow i.e. 2 week turnaround, so see Davian for this service. HOWEVER they have got all sorts of other gear such as a laser cutter set-up, if you supply a CAD drawing they can cut it, can do up to 10mm stainless and a bit thicker in mild steel. Bit of a funny place and mind where you park your car or it may get reversed into... but if you need some stuff fabricating they are local and do a good job.

    3) Davian Environmental Engineering (Jeffers S13)
    Unit 2
    Princes Drive
    Coventry Rd
    Kenilworth
    Warwickshire
    CV8 2FD

    Tel: 01926 850210

Dont be fooled by the name ! Top bloke called Dave that owns/runs the place is a $hit hot ali welder, Ive got lots of bits and bobs done by him, not particularly cheap but then not many people have the gear to tig ali and can do as good a job. If hes about he may do small jobs while you wait or else he can always get stuff done on short notice, always very helpful and friendly.

very happy with advice and workmanship from there. They adopt an "open house" type thing on a sat
morn til 12 where you can go in and use the machines yourself (within reason)
    Good on price too

    (Ryan)

Powder Coaters / Finishers / Cleaners
    1) Midlands Finishing & Powder Coating (Jacko)
    Northampton.
    Contact Jacko
About 2 mins from where I work, so I can get there in lunch easily, have
had a few things done there now, and they seem pretty good. I've
explained that I may be able to put some SXOC business his way, so he's
    gonna do a good price.

    2) KN Wheels (russ200)
    Telford

    3) GEM Rewinds Ltd (Jeffers S13)
    4 Welton Rd
    Warwick
    Warwickshire
    CV34 5PZ

    Tel: 01926 497778

Adjacent to where I work, they are primarily an electric motor specialist but have the useful advantage of having an aqua blast cabinet, which uses glass beads in water. This does the most excellent job of cleaning metal parts up to say sump size stuff. Aluminium comes up like new, like it just dropped out the mould. Ive had lots of stuff cleaned, like brake calipers, a whole head, throttle body etc. Go to reception and ask for a guy called John Derry (think thats his surname...) its cheap as chips to get stuff done, and cash only I can supply before and after pics of stuff if you're interested.

    Metal Sales
    1) Metal Supermarkets (Jeffers S13)
    Unit B Bayton Rd
    Bayton Rd Industrial Estate
    Exhall
    Coventry
    West Midlands
    CV7 9EJ

    Tel: 024 7636 6567

Again as name suggest, stock all sorts of metals, bar, sheet, tube angle etc. Top friendly blokes that work there and open Saturday mornings aswell. They will cut ANY length, i.e. no length too short. Most metal stockists will have a minimum order of like 10m or something

    (Jacko, Stoofer)

    General Sales
    1) Spa Fasteners (Jeffers S13)
    Unit 26
    Hurlbutt Rd
    Heathcote Industrial Estate

Nuts and bolts of every conceivable style, again friendly peeps that work there.

top idea lots of people seem to recommend CJ tallis in hinckley for Bodywork - no experience myself though.
Just tyres in kenilworth are good for swapping tyres/punctures etc on the cheap, and i'm sure they would hypothetically not be averse to doing stuff cash-in-hand even cheaper

My advice is also for a bodyshop:

    Davlyns Bodyshop
    Unit 1c Hudson Road
    Saxby Road Industrial Estate
    Melton Mowbray
    Leicestershire
    LE13 1BS
    Tel: 01664 562000
    Fax: 01664 562000

They did superb work on my old Saxo, and my mate took his 106 there, and it won paint job of the show at Max Power a couple of years back. Not everyones cup of tea, but it shows the quality of work they do.

People from Leamington might have seen the Red Splat Escort XR3i, again, not to everyone's tastes, but it shows the level of skill that Dave has.

I can personally recommend IB Engineering. They skimmed a warped manifold for me for only £14 and did a quality job.

plume tyres in rugby are good and cheap.
talk to shane there and that you know me (jody) and he will sort out a decent deal.
also if you want a proper mint paint job or panel repair or modifictation, go to QVR quality vechicl refurbishment in Daventry, they arent cheap, but their quality is the best around.
for cheap body repairs, i suggest Halfrauds, and P38!!!!!!!!!! lol

I think power boating is where the business stemmed from, Ive never met Andy Chesman, the shop supervisor/manager bloke is called Andy, but I reckon he'd have still been a nipper in them days !
