Excellent news! are you gonna fit it straight away?

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

I think they are a straight swap, wiring wise

Got mine today, they'd only gone and lost my order... and they didn't send the 748, it was an 848 model with the music catcher, but not mithered, still an ace HU for the money.

    Fitting tomorra!

Seems to vary, generally it's £100 for the HU + £6.99 for Citilink postage.

Most bought through ebay, I emailed them direct, but I found that they were so busy selling other things on ebay that they forgot about my paypal payment. A quick call tho and they sent it out immediately which was good.

I spoke to a bloke called Bernard, if you want to order over the phone I'm sure they'll be fine: 0870 7544486

Hey everyone, the clarion looks good, but to be fair I wouldnt waste my time with it.

I wanted to keep the Sony cd changer and steering column remote so i got a sony CDX NC9950 off ebay for £230 delivered - it's absolutely awesome and has SATNAV avaiable with a gps receiver at extra cost. I have wired in a reversing camera also as it has a video input. It fits straight into the original location and works with the original cd changer and column remote. What more could you ask for!

However Sony will be releasing this soon...

It's one hell of a unit that has a built in USB drive in the face plate. Take it indoors, plug into your computer and download a load of tracks onto the faceplate. Plus it will work with your existing CD changer and steering column remote.

Clarion are good, but no offence guys - SONY is better

now imagine if the faceplate had a battery and headphone socket and worked like a standalone walkman/mp3 player too
    that would be awesome

looks like a pretty funky idea

Sony stuff is good but you can't argue with a bargain, most people got one of these clarion units for £80-100!!!!

I bought one of these too

Not had a chance to mess about with it yet though

As for Sony... what's the point, my car's got Clarion gear and I already have the CBus CeNet converter

For £100 notes for an MP3 HU that used to cost 3 times that you can't really go wrong
