You mean standard calipers on 343mm discs?
It would be a one off set up so it would be exspensive
The discs and calipers are £1032.97.

IIRC I managed to get the price for the AP 6 pot setup with 355mm discs for less than £1900 through one of the authorised dealers of APs website.
Roger Clarke Motorsport - or someone can't remember who exactly.
You have to order the R33 GTR kit.
Alternatively Stop Tec do a monster of a kit for around £1400 I think.
Rod bell and Abbey sell these kits.
*holds hand up*
I've got stoptechs. The centre bit of the rotor, around the bell housing has gone rusty. Unhappy P.
AP used to do a 6 pot kit for £1900, thats been discontinued and they now do a strap drive kit at around £2300.Originally Posted by kirkster
£2300-£1900 is a 20% discount, thats knocking on what the big main AP dealers get so Id expect youve been quoted on the now defunct and discontinued set up.
As some have said already, I'd be happy with a kit of discs and spacers that would give me the biggest disk that would fit properly under a standard s14a 4 pot calliper.
What size disc would this be and how much would it cost ??
324mm but we dont have a price yet. The first kit should be here not next week but the week after.
Do you mean the disks and bells?Originally Posted by bren
Sorry, I priced calipers and discs.
Discs and bells would be around £500.
AP still do the kit, its not defunct, or discontinued.
Just got off the phone with Graham Goode Racing 0116 2440080
Price for the kit is £1849.40 inc vat
They're coming back to me on a price for the strap drive system, which I'm told is normally only used on discs that are 380mm and bigger.....
Graham Goode had better tell AP that they dont know their product line then as they (AP) say they have dropped the old kit because of the problems it caused and have moved onto the strap drive which is all they now list for the Skyline and is all thats listed on their website.
GG also wrong in saying that the strap drive is predominantly just used on the 380mm rotors because its not, its also used on 343 and 356mm rotors.
You should stick with talking to people who know what theyre on about
It was the chaps at Roger clark that told me about the 380mm disc and bigger. But hey, proven rally teams that do this day in and day out for a living must be wrong about the info they dish out.
Strangely enough they've just got off the phone with me and offered me a 343mm strap drive kit for £2029.25 inc vat
Not £2300 like yours Bren......
but you have no car to put it on
Why are bells and rotors soooo expensive
I dont know why youre getting arsy, its not my fault that Roger Clark told you the strap drive kits are for 380mm rotors when AP are using them in discs down to 343 nor is it my fault that Graham Goode told you that AP are still doing the old kit when AP themselves are telling me they dont nor is it my fault that AP set the retail prices as they do or that we get very minimal discount as AP wont set up new distributers so we can discount heavily to retail.Originally Posted by kirkster
I have, however, got the price wrong. I was told the kit was £2k plus vat, but Ive just phoned AP and it is in fact £2k including vat or, to be exact, £2029.26.
True, but I don't want to see our members paying over the odds for stuffOriginally Posted by Mono Phil
Nice to see you've dropped your price down Bren.
I would never have charged £2300 if the price is £2000, I would have confirmed the price before charging the customer as I dont know the exact price, I was told it was £2k+vat which is way too rough to work from so the customer would have got a nice £300 discount. In fact he would have got a larger discount than that as I know you can get AP cheaper than rrp and would try my best to match the lower prices available.
I would be interested in a 340 ish AP kit to fit under 17s in a few months. Or perhaps even a 324 with standard calipers. Will depend if its worth the difference.
mmmm, I like the sound of the kit that fits under 17's - 343mm disks.
IIRC Purplepower said there was room to spare with the 355mm under 18's and that it would probably fit under 17's.
Any chance this could happen?
IMO No
There is just about 355mm room inside a 17" rim - I measured mine the other day - so where does the caliper go??
340 odd is the max should be plenty
343 it is then. Cheers PhilOriginally Posted by Mono Phil
