you can run breathers straight to atmos without any pipes and it's not going to start any fires.
that is absolutely fantastic, i'd keep a set of standard steelies for special occasions when you just want to piss off BMW owners

thanks a lot, no there was no radiator when that was filmed and there was no connections to the catch tank because unfortunately the engine has to come out again in the next few days for me to weld the engine mounts again and repair the clutch fork , but hopefully this wont take long and ill be driving it very soon
thanks again,
jim

Congratulations and well done Jim I'l give you a phone so I can come round and see it running.
Here is a small update on the car as there hasnt been one in a while....
I would have more pics but my computer crashed yesterday and i lost everything on it , so i will get some more in the near future. Over the winter it has been mostly engine mods for the anglia, i have now fitted:
*A t34 turbo from an escort cosworth onto a topmount manifold.
*444cc injectors from a skyline
*3 inch downpipe from the turbo to as far down the exhaust as possible before i run out of room
*An NOS system with 50hp jets to try and avoid lag when launching.
*A bigger fmic from XS power as i dont reckon the rover 220 cooler would have lasted a whole lot longer! (pipes still to be put in place)
*And finally a paddle clutch will be fitted in the next couple of weeks to help me on through the gears
Here is the only pic I managed to save
Cheers
Jim
( Not sure if this thread should now be in projects but i thought for now I would be best to carry on from the one that is already there )
How crazy is it to drive?
bet the rear leaf spings give out when you give it the beans you can buy or make anti tramp bars so you don't beat the ground to death when you pust the go pedal hard I custom built mine about 25 yrs ago but with a 2ltr lump what prop are you using cos on mine I kept breaking the centre bearing sounds like some one is trying to bash the floor with a slege hammer
any how looks good keep up the good work
Wow, my inspiration gets even better!
Mine has had to take a back=seat at the moment as I pranged my daily driver, and have had to repair that (that's been 5 months now, when I could have been doing the Anglia!)
Looking great, and I love the upgrade list!
I've been looking at Mk2 Escort estates recently with a view to sticking a Zetec or Duratec in as a car to smoke about in. It wouldn't be a concourse car but I remember spending hours underneath old cars welding and plating and don't fancy doing it again - how have you gone about making sure yours isn't hit by tin worm? Does garaging it cut down on degredation? I was thinking about getting it dipped and electrophoretically coated just to make sure but the £800 seems to be money spent in the wrong direction...
Oh, and what was the intercooler originally destined for? It looks narrow enough to fit in my Sabre?
I'll move it to projects for you
saw the videos of it going on ford100e.co.uk when i said about what is going in my pop
looks and sounds wicked!
absolutely sweet mate !!
Ahh Jim finally a decent cooler mate
looks like an rx7 one yeah?
U will notice a big differance with having a better cooler mate, and a fair differance with that turbo too
Good to see ur still making progress mate

Thanks again for the comments! So far with the t28 etc... it wasnt too crazy to drive so hopefully it is still ok with the bigger turbo . Yeah the intercooler is from an rx7. i will try and get some other pics up over the weekend and show things a bit better.
thanks again
Jim
Since the last post the car has now been provisionally completed and taken to crail for its first time . Unfortunately, it has a bit more power now than what i was expecting and it is really struggling to keep it down first and second gear . I managed a 14.33 at 109mph best but i have a video against a mid-13 second supra to follow in this post which shows me beating it though i red lit so i didnt get a time . Here are the pics anyway:
and heres the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FRaEzvPXbc
Hope you all like and i hope soon i manage to get better times to report on to you all!
Thanks
Jim
Good work
I know why you did it, but its a shame that you had to cut away the front valance like that. Takes away some of it's sleeper appeal.
Too much stuff, too little space.
Keep posting - you're inspiring me to keep going
Are you likely to make it south this year? Would like to come and say
Thanks, well i should have mentioned that the grille and the bumper are still to go on so it doesnt look as wild as it does there, though you can still see the bottom of the cooler! I will have pics of it fully completed as of this weekend.
Well if the power becomes controllable I should make it to TOTB i hope with sxoc. Do you think the minor will be out this summer, would be great if the cars made an event together!
Jim
Not this summer I'm afraid. Progress has slowed a lot since F was born
It is however booked to go for dipping in a few weeks, so progess hasn't stopped altogether.
I'll look forward to meeting you at TOTB then
have you still got the anglia leaf springs on the back?
